Mindful Eating is Something We Should All be Practicing at Meal Times

I was first introduced to the concept of mindfulness at a work conference. Crammed into a room with about 100 other coworkers, two researchers gave a thirty minute presentation about how mindfulness and the practice of meditation can refine attention and decrease feelings of stress and anxiety. Less stress and anxiety? Sign me up. A quick google search later and I found the researchers’ website. One event they were offering peaked my interest; a group session specifically about mindful eating. I decided to go. The first group session I met a number of people that were transforming their relationship with food just by using simple mindful eating techniques.
