Introduction: Child Care Service – What is it?
Child care is an industry that provides quality help to countless mothers and fathers who are in need of qualified, capable providers to take care of their children. Without child care providers, there would be less jobs and many stressed mothers and fathers. Child care is a very impersonal industry, where no existing or past relationships must be made in order to do business, save nannies and at-home care providers. This industry is in a monopolistic competition. Most child care centers compete against other child care centers, though they must also compete against nannies and those who conduct their business at home (“Marketing Your Daycare” 2014). Each type of child care has their positives and negatives, which will either attract or repel potential customers. On one hand, child care centers are certified institutions that have an established clientele. Though the business may be well revered, it could still repel a customer due to the fact that the family may not know the owner of the center or its employees. On the other hand, you have nannies and at-home child care providers. These people generally already know the parent or parents of the child and have a significant relationship. D1/D2/A1 This piece of work will be focusing on a child aged 18 months starting a nursery day care setting. The two key issues that will be looked at in this assignment will be planning, preparing and reviewing for the child to settling into the setting. Secondly I will be looking into the child’s emotional support that the child may need when starting the setting, along with the attachments of the child that will need to be built or have already been put in place. When planning for a child to start a new setting there will be certain things that will need to be taken into consideration, for example; the child at hand may have never been separated from their primary carers beforehand.

1. introduction Every child deserves the support and best possible start in life. (DFE, 2017) The practice setting is a private and funded nursery based in Luton. My setting is a nursery for children 0-5 years.
At 16 years old, I had no clue as to what career I would be heading into in the future and I was starting to get a bit worried. I was going to enter my junior year of high school and I needed to enter an alternative course on my course selection sheet, in case the AP Psychology would not have any room for me. I randomly selected Marketing Essentials, confidently thinking that I would definitely be in AP Psychology next year. Little did I know, AP Psychology was full of students and I ended up having Marketing Essentials on my schedule, a topic that I had no knowledge of.

In this essay I will be considering how innovations in theory, policy and research have influenced the development of coordination, partnership and integration in childhood practice in my childcare setting in Scotland. I will analyse the development of policies concerning children and young people in relation to my setting and the professional groups involved within my setting. This will include the introduction of building the ambition and the Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014, which from 2016 will enforce the need for the named person to take any concerns seriously and report as required. There are many programs out there that are nationally recognized to work with children. With being recognized through these programs, it helps you and your program to be better known by those who want their children in the best possible care. Many states have their own requirements of licensing when it comes to childcare centers. A huge part of the licensing program is to have background checks and to teach the future staff CPR or what to do in case of emergencies. The preparation of planning value chain activities can take critical time. Since 1995, when the day care opened, the growth in Bussey Family Day Care (BFDC) and the Day Care industry has a rapid growth. This expansion is because of the post-recessionary recovery that has pushed to this growth. People need to work and find a place to enroll their child/children in. The rising costs of day cares indicates that the industry is in the mature phase of its life cycle.
