National Honor Society Essay The National Honor Society is a remarkable organization as it truly helps build exemplary people for the community. Being a member allows you to provide help, and become a person of great attributes. While my GPA proves my dedication to my academics, How I use my time outside of school is what shows my commitment to bettering the community. I am still looking for more opportunities to show my leadership and through NHS, I am hopeful I can accomplish that. One moment that showed my role as a leader, was mentoring the younger team of a sport I came to love recently. Lacrosse has become a passion of mine in a short period, I devote many hours to the sport to become an advert team player. I started building connections and friendships with younger players; we both would connect on the sport as I showed my love for it, and being able to help them out. Another leadership role that I demonstrate is being the section leader for my orchestra class. I was picked for this role because my teacher saw I could grow into the person I am now, I always am attentive in class and prove that in crucial times I can always help when needed. In this position, my role is to set an example for the younger players that have recently moved up from middle school to high school. Coming to this school can be intimidating, but this class proves how quickly everyone can support and help each other. I am always open to helping anyone that needs it. Last year, during many music concerts I worked helping behind the scenes. I helped set up between concerts and directed parents and little kids to where they needed to be. Another way I help out in the community is always being open to taking the work off of teachers that are needing help, being able to make one small difference is what makes a bigger impact at the end of the
