If someone asked me what pathos, logos, or ethos was I would think they were crazy making up words. Methods of development would have sounded like some process of evolving for animals. I’m currently working on an essay and have included two of the three rhetorical appeals Logos and Ethos. The main appeal is Logos, because There is a lot of information and facts. Ethos also, because there is authority that will help back up the claims. My audience is not directed to any individual group it is intended for everyone.

Not long ago was I assign a topic which lead me to uses all the the rhetorical elements, I learn to how to incorporate the all the the appeals one by one. For example, my topic was how I felt about the idea of animals being culled/killed,adding all the appeals was definitely a must. I do believe that the author did a decent job of using ethos, pathos, and logos. First, I will look at Ethos. Throughout the article, we don’t see too many examples of ethos but overall the author uses a very professional voice and seems to be likable and uses appropriate grammar for the audience and subject. This is why I believe that the author effectively used ethos to build credibility and trustworthiness. In the book, The Achievement Habit, by Bernard Roth, chapter two reasons are bullshit, Roth gives multiple examples on the rhetorical triangle, pathos, ethos, and logos.
