Music
From what I have heard, philosophers have said that music tells time, it tells stories about generations, the cultures history, how the world has changed from then, or how the world was changing when the song or music was being made. Music has its own timeline when you think about it, it includes important parts about it, how its changed, or what made it change.
In this century, there have been many likable genres, like in the early 1900’s Jazz was a very big part of the century, because from my 8th grade teacher, he said that jazz is Americas very own type of music. There is Country music which I kinda like, one of my favorite country songs is by tim Mcgraw, ‘live life like you were dying’. Country is very popular genre in music. Another

There is hardly any birthday songs when I think about I, I only know of 2 songs. There are many wedding songs because the artist probably got married and was so happy that he or she wanted to write a song of their personal thoughts on what was probably a great memory. Songs about quinceneras usually say stuff about how their little girl has grown to a young woman and that the parents couldn’t be more proud of their child. Songs about funerals say how important the person was amazing and that they will be missed by many but hope they lived a happy life and that they wish for a peaceful rest, while family and friends will celebrate that the person is now in a better person and what an impact the person made in all of their family and friend’s life.
I use my music most of the times when it is too noisy and I need to my homework, and to concentrate, I use it sometimes just to think about how my life is going , how things could be different, how it could be better, or could be worse. I use my music to realize what I can do. It reminds me that I am still human, what kind of human doesn’t like to listen to music, it just lets me now I am doing good for myself, and I need to male sure I still have myself in check in reality, and to keeping being me. I also listen to music when I am working out to keep
Meet my Jazz band. This is a picture of us in New Orleans my junior year during spring break to play Jazz. I decided upon this picture because this band has had such a profound impact on how I frame my future. My connection with music through the piano has been fostered ever since I could reach those shiny black and white collection of keys. Starting at the age of four, playing the classical music of Mozart and Bach was what my musical background was founded upon, with tangible medals and accomplishments as achievements.
By just turning on a song that you like can put you in your own world where no one criticizes you or judges you for being you. Music is an escape from any problem in society and it is meant for everyone. “Music is just something that helps me escape and be totally free from everything.”-David Schmitt. This quote shows the true meaning of music.
I had an awesome summer this year! My family and I spent lots of time with our relatives and doing fun activities. During the summer we rodeo, spent time with family, worked, went on vacation and just spent time with friends. Read below to find more about my exciting summer. Rodeo is something I do a lot in the summer.
I have listen to countless different genres of music throughout my life. What kind of music I listen to can change dramatically, for example, I can be listening to country for a month then start listening to heavy metal rock the next. Most of the time my mood controls the type of music I listen to or what I am doing. If I am playing sports I like to listen to music that pumps me up, but when I am driving in my car it could vary depending on how my day has went. The two genre that I have always listen to are pop and rock; to me these two genres can get me into my feels.
Music also evolves and changes as time elapses; consequently, different generations identify with songs from various genres that are prominent during their lifetime. One of my favorite songs is “La Gozadera” by Gente de Zona and Marc Anthony; this rhythmic song is sung in Spanish. I. Love. This.
Music can bring the brightest of joys that keeps us moving through our dull and boring lives. An example of this joy is Ishmael Beah’s life as a boy soldier in his book A Long Way Gone. As he tells you his story, he tells of his dance group with his friends, the times he heard music in the middle of war, and how music saved him from the madness that brewed within him. Music has the unique ability to create peace in a person’s life despite the difficulties surrounding them, and to bring a constant reminder of who they are as a person.
According to The Bedford Book of Genres “A genre is a composition’s kind, category, or sort. Genres give us a way to categorize or describe types of compositions”. (Braziller and Kleinfeld) One genre of music is country. There are two things we need to know about genres; “First, genres change according to the ways people use them” and “Second, genres are flexible”.
Music changed the life of people and bluegrass, scat, and jazz produced more genres of music like pop, country, classic, and instrumental ( Feinstein ). In addition, music impacted the culture of the United States in the 1910s by giving people more jobs like a producer, singer, songwriter, etc. and making singer and songwriters
Growing up I was consumed by an interesting assortment of music. Musical influences were thrown at me from all directions. Whether it was the rock and roll and punk rock music my dad listened to, or the country and pop music my mom listened to, my ears were always full of different arrays of music. Having my grandma blasting gospel music and my older sister jamming Disney, music became a very influential part of my childhood.
“Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything” (Plato). If my childhood was filled with anything: it was imagination. From my earliest memories of my cousin, and I putting on a sold out concert on my papaw’s front porch; to putting my baby dolls to sleep with lullabies. Music has always been a big part of my life: it was the one thing I could always count on, no matter where I went; and that still stands true today.
III. Finally, music offers many advantages to those who listen. A. Medically, certain music can help significantly in healing the mind and the body. 1. Music therapists are professionals trained to use music and/or musical instruments to promote overall health and well-being in their patients (“Positive & Negative…,” 2017).
Even with my moods, whether it is sad or mad, music will help me get through it. It has absolutely been an enormous part of my life and who I am. Thus, this is to say that I have musical talent. I am in a high school marching band, where I play any piano-like instrument. My viewpoint with music has come to a simple conclusion, without it, I would not know who I am or what to do with my life.
Music has always been my passage to a better me. It has allowed me to express myself in ways that are positive. Personally, I have never been the best at expressing feelings that make me feel negative inside but with music my feelings seem to flow right out. A great song that has helped me perceiver and face my challenges would have to be “Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head” by Hal David and Burt Bacharach for the 1969 film Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. The song was recognized and won an Academy award for the best original song.
To sum things up, there are three benefits of music in our daily life. First, it can be a typical and effective way to make a person happier. Secondly, music also can help in boosting up your energy while doing activities such as running and also workout and lastly, music can somehow help to improve a person’s sleep quality. It is true that sometimes, people listen to music just for fun and as their hobby. However, some of them do not realize that even though music is just a little thing to be considered but for your information, even a little thing can make a big difference in someone’s life.
