Most Stressful Game ever Played
It was the day we had to play West Kent Hawks in State Playoffs for our seeding. We had lost to West Kent twice with our full roster and now we lost two of our good players, the odds weren’t good. We just beat Grand Rapids Christian on Friday and Rockford and Battle Creek Gold the day before. We were tied with West Kent, whoever won this game is going to the finals.
The locker room was as quiet as the Alaskan wilderness. Everyone had a nervous look on their faces, and the coach was unusually quiet. Conner put on some music to loosen the mood while Noah did his tradition of breaking either a chair or the trash can, he broke both. We odds were not in our favor and we all knew that. West Kent is fast, big,

He passed up to Noah, who skated it in and sniped the tendy short side at the top of the circles. The bench went crazy like teenage girls at a Justin Beiber concert. Later in that period I jumped off the bench and skated into the slot while Ethan chased the biscuit into the corner. He beat the defense and got it to me. I did the famous toe drag as the second defense man tried to poke check me, I sent his jock into the rafters. As I looked up and shot low right under the glove next thing I heard was the goal horn I tied the game. The first two periods were barnburners and we knew they were not conditioned enough to finish. The Zam left and we started the period, West Kent was furious and started running us. Poor Beatty got lit up like we were doing to their lamp. We didn’t stop scoring as we added 6 goals in 17 minutes. The bench went crazy as we jumped onto the ice to celebrate with our goalie, we were in the finals. We had to play our biggest rival Battle Creek Varsity for the finals we hated them and they hated us. We lost pretty bad to them, but I thought we did extremely well against a Varsity team. This weekend really stuck out to me because we had such difficult teams we had to play against while we were down two vital players. We worked well as a team and definitely out worked every team we played
Dane Kutnik had turned on the jets, but he couldn’t even catch up to the ball. The ball had rolled all the way to the fence. May I remind you that we played on a 300 foot fence. I still cannot believe that he had thrown the ball all the way to the cut without the ball bouncing once. Tanner had been lined up perfect with me and the second he felt the ball in his glove he had rifled it to me.
We finished the season with one loss and we went into the tournament with our first game against Republic and we won pretty easy. We played against Bothwell in the final in Marquette. I was really nervous as I can remember and it was really hot in the gym. The game started and we were up by 4 at halftime. The second half started
Possession was the one thing on everyone’s mind. Time was evaporating, the other team and their fans started to get optimistic. The buzzer announced the end of the competition and the roar from our opponents deafened cries from our team and our fans. We had lost the first game for our program in fourteen years.
Miami coach Al Golden was so proud of his team. ” Give Nebraska credit for the way they played” he said, “But give our kids a lot of credit for fighting, scratching, clawing, staying together, having a poise and finishing it in overtime.” . On the other hand though “ the Cornhuskers (1-2) have a losing record after three games for the first time since 1981.” . All
It was easy, we had won 4-1. It was a sweep, I scored a goal, and then tyler scored 3. Our next opponent was Watertown. Everytime we play them it is like a WWE fighting match. I don’t even think people care for the ball, they want to hit someone as hard as they can.
It was mid-February, Whittier’s C team was almost undefeated. Since it was past midseason, D team played first. I don’t remember if they won or not, but I’ll give you a summary. Lots of people running up and down the court missing layups. There were funny moments and there were epic battles for loose balls, but it was just as intense as any other basketball game.
On a cold, frosty, snow cover night in November at Welcome Home Stadium, was when my life changed. That night, two teams played for the chance to call themselves champions of 6th-grade football. All game, my team and I battled against the mighty Wilmington Hurricanes. We fought all game to win and finally we got the ball back with less than under a minute left and down by 4 points. The crowd was quieter than a church mouse as my coaches huddled us up during a timeout, and in that timeout, my coaches looked to me for answers.
In our minds, the state title was already won. Early season success led us to believe our prediction would come true. Meet after meet led to one win after another. We looked unstoppable. But things quickly changed later in the season when one of our better runners had to sit out for an extended period of time with a pulled hip flexor.
However, I began to see the game as more than just a win or a loss. Losing gave the team the opportunity to closely look at what we did well, and what we needed to improve on. We were then able to focus more precisely on what we needed to do in order to succeed. I was able to learn that being successful and winning were not necessarily the same thing. We had success in a smaller sense; we worked as a team, played clean games and were noted for our sportsmanship.
This season was full of miracles. We were the only team in the history of the NHL to go down in each series 3-0 and come back and win it. Same happened in the Stanley Cup Final. We went down 3-0 against a powerhouse Chicago team looking for a three-peat. We came back to tie the series 3-3 with a couple of clutch goals by me and the Staal brothers.
We blew teams out. We got blown out. Despite some early struggles, we were able to advance to the semifinals, but lost in a thriller. Even though we lost, it was the best game we played by far; the kids learned to play together as one team. The season was always filled with excitement and anticipation, one play after the
but i don 't think coach cared because we was hype going to play t-west. Topeka high and Topeka west have been rivals for ever in almost every sport but mainly football. So we got drop off by our bus driver at Hummer sports park. We go in the locker room to get dress to go do our stretches so we don’t pull anything and to get ready for our game so
The June 27th, 2015 championship game for our local West Hanover baseball team, it was a beautiful day Central PA perfect for the great game of baseball. Looking back it was a day I will never forget, possibly one of the most important days of my life. We were playing our rival team the undefeated Hershey teams, us only having one lose in our regular season to the one and only Hershey team. This team was loaded with athletes their cocky attitudes. They were like the Yankees and we were the Phillies, we were the underdogs
We faced a lot of obstacles to make it to the peek of our success. This game we played was extremely important was numerous of reasons. A higher ceding in the playoffs and revenge were our main focus. It was thirty seconds left in the fourth and we were down by one point. The tension in the gym was so thick you could cut it with a knife.
The first time on a football field and i was very hyped about it cause i got to play and the coach put me as starter because i was the biggest one on the field. The very first play we got sacked but are left lineman didn't stop the ball they got pushed over and we got sacked. The ball was on the 25 yard line and we were trying to get to the fifteen yard line to get the first down and we were short 10 yards but we could still get cause if we work hard you play hard.
