Picking one certain season as my favorite is pretty difficult, so I decided to pick two. My two favorite seasons are winter and summer for two different things. Now I will tell you why I chose these particular seasons.
I usually only like the summer because do not have school, but this year it wasn 't the only reason it was one of my favorites. This summer I got the opportunity to play for the Columbus High School baseball team. I came into it being very nervous because none of the coaches had seen me play much before hand. The first practice went very well and I was looking very good. The next few practices went by and finally it was time to pick the teams freshman, sophomore, junior varsity, and varsity. They named all of the names on each team and said if your named was not said stay here. So I was just expecting to get called on junior varsity and go home pretty happy, but they didn 't call my name. I was so excited because it was my first high school sport and I got on varsity. I played a very good amount for a eighth grader going to be a freshman once school started, I played about 21 out of the 30 total games and started 12 of the games on varsity. As a team we did not have the best season for the most part. One of the high lights of the year was going into districts. The first game of districts it wasn 't even close vs

The reason I enjoy winter so much is not because of weather it is because I get to play my favorite sport which is hockey. I started hockey when I was three years old so I 've been playing for 11 years now. It has just been my passion ever since I started. I hope later in life I can make it father than just playing for the high school and eventually move away and get a host family to play for a triple a team somewhere else to attempt to get looked at for college. It is my dream to make it to either a USHL team or to a D1 college hockey school or both who knows what my future holds in store. But if I 'm playing hockey things will be
It was six o 'clock at the Friendswood junior high mustang field I was playing strong safety and I had to cover the extra receiver they brought out by the snap I was already beating my man and the next thing I know the ball was sailing my way straight to me. I am 13 years old and I am on the Friendswood junior high C-football team I am a second string slot receiver and starting strong safety
I entered Bishop Connolly High School in fear. I thought I would be drowned by homework, and I thought that I would find difficulty in finding friends. Those notions were not true. But aside from my fears for high school, I had an aspiration to become to closer to God. My family is religious, and I intend to carry the tradition to going to Church every Sunday and every Holy Day of Obligation, but there is more beyond going to Church.
I am also looking forward to the beginning of the track season. If you ever have the chance to play sports at C.M.S., I highly encourage you to go out for that sport. I was highly encouraged to play baseball this year, it was a great decision to play. Usually baseball is one of my least favorite sports but, this year it was definitely one of my favorite sports. Coach Hanner was the baseball coach this year; he provided a very fun season while keeping it serious at the same time.
The next day, I was kicked off the team. I sat in my room shocked, unable to comprehend what had happened. My baseball career was over. All of my hard work wasted, since I was not able to reap the benefits from years of practice for varsity baseball.
I always get nervous when I feel I have to perform the best I can. I went to the camp and did great in hitting and fielding; my performance caught the attention of the head coach and he said he would like to stop by my high school to see me play a few games this upcoming year. He told me, "I am not willing to take any student athlete who is not willing to run the extra mile or to take the extra 100 swings a day." So every morning before school, I took 100 swings off my tee and after school, I ran an extra mile. Over the course of my season, I saw dramatic improvements and they were just in time for the game the college coach stopped by to see.
Although many special events have happened lately the football game that was played against spring hill was of special events. That bright sunny day at Dierks High school it was homecoming day. As all the girls were dressed up in their elegant dresses blue jeans and t-shirts were what everyone else was wearing. The mums glitter and shined as they walked down the homecoming court their hair all in place.
I am white female and raised in the early 80’s, I went to Longwood High school and as most of us know it’s a very diverse school district. A lot of the teenager’s romantic relationship were interracial and it was pretty much expected. Other students wouldn’t think much of it because it was so common. The older generations (grandparent and parents) disliked the whole interracial couple thing because they are stuck in living the old school lifestyle which whites and blacks date/marry their own ethical race. For the most part our society is still stuck in this mind frame to this day.
“What’s your favorite time of year?” “Summer!” This is a common question asked by an adult, and a typical reply from a child. Of course summer is their favorite time of the year because they have summer break! 10-12 weekes full of sun and fun!
It all started when my mom told me this: “David, you are going to spend your eighth grade year at Guilford Middle.” Guilford Middle School, my school prior to Holicong, was considered infamous by the community. Their horrible reputation mostly came from the gross condition of the school. The school was about a hundred years old and the walls were abundant with mold.
Everybody knows that there are four seasons, and everyone has their favorite one out of all of them. Mine is when the woods turns into a coloring book of orange and red, when I put a nice warm batch of hot co-co on the stove, and were all of my family comes together every year. My favorite season is fall. My favorite hobby is hunting.
in my mind i had put a goal for next year to make it in varsity. We did not meet the rest of our team and coach formally until the next day where we would have our first practice. Coach eric had already an idea of what our starting 11, our formation that we were going to use was 4-4-2 diamond, our goalie was braulio, the four in the back were jayden and jared in the center and seth on the right and aron on the left , i was as a cam or a center attacking mid ,carlos and mauricio on the wings and james as a cdm, our strikers were sebastian and javier. At the end we were told when our first game was. After about 6 games we had a game in north branch where something terrible and good would happen to me.
However, sometimes things happen and people have got to just keep pushing through it. My third year of softball my team was very proficient, strong, and confident. When it came time to go to our first tournament, we were unquestionably excited. We knew we were going to do excellent because our team was undefeated, and with our confidence, we could do anything we wanted.
Standing in that very moment beneath the bright lights, with everyone watching in disbelief, is the sight I will never forget, and the sensation of feeling total accomplishment. Everyone has a fear; the fear of snakes, spiders and so on. My ultimate fear was nothing like those kinds at all. My fear happened to involve a stage and my opposable “beautiful” voice as my family members would say. Yes,
Adding on, when it snows a lot we can go play outside in the snow like building forts, having a snowball fight, building a snowman, and more. Another reason winter is my favorite season is because we have winter break. When winter break comes rolling around it is two weeks off of school just like that and if you get lucky like I did last year we got an extra week off because of all the snow. During winter break there
Winter Different emotions bubble up during certain seasons of the year. Humans tend to become effected by the weather rather easily depending on their personal opinion of that particular season. In Edith Wharton’s novella Ethan Frome, the cold winter has a strong presents within the book. Winter dominates the overall feel of the book through the impending misery and loneliness throughout the town.
