When coming to Arcadia High School I didn’t know what to feel like, would I say frightened, worried, or energized? For this reason I decided that I felt confused. I was a bit stressed at the thought of getting bad grades. I entered school and saw what looked like a beehive of people going where they needed to go. So like many freshmen on their first day I got lost looking for my first class, it was such a big school and many of the halls weren’t even in alphabetical order. I wound up asking one of the construction workers and they told me that it was “over there”. I didn’t understand because they didn’t point in any direction, I started walking around the corner and saw the same construction worker again, I asked him again and this time he
Freshman year came along and I wanted to attend Sullivan High School. I wanted to come back to my hometown, I was just missing the people I started it all out with in the beginning. My dad and I had all of the paperwork finished already to go for me to attend Sullivan High School in August, but my mom refused and wouldn’t budge to let me go. She didn’t want me going to Sullivan, she wanted me to stay with all of my new friends I had made at Owensville. She thought my best bet would be to stay and proceed to go to OHS.
As a young aspiring musician in middle school, I wanted to start a band desperately. Instead, I was known as Emerson Middle School 's’ music freak. I posted flyers in businesses around my hometown and online ads. I wanted to be like Amy Lee from Evanescence terribly, but my taste in music was different than most people. When my fellow classmates heard about my compositions and ideas, they thought it was a joke.
At 5:45 AM the alarm on my phone blared some generic default tone that I had never gotten around to changing. This was probably the earliest I’ve ever gotten up in my entire life. I groggily removed myself from the pile of blankets on the floor that I had been sleeping in and headed for the shower, brushed my teeth, washed my face and searched my near empty closet for something to wear on my first day of school. Although I was absolutely exhausted and there was yet to be any furniture in my room, I was thrilled to be transferring to Pattonville High School in midst of my junior year and living in a bigger house in a better community.
The past four years I’ve spent at Pascack hills High School has matured me in many ways. However sports is the one thing that helped me grow the most as a person I don 't know what kind of person I would be if I didn 't play sports. Activities such as football, basketball, and lacrosse have done so much for me as a person. Without participating in these activities I wouldn 't have matured as quickly as I did in high school. I started football in fourth grade, and I can honestly say that, the decision of playing football in fourth grade was one of the best decisions I have made in my life.
When I first started Unity high school I was nervous high school was going to be rough and hard to make friends but I 've been enjoying high school so far in freshman year. The biggest fear for me in high school was that there were going to be little bit of people to hang out with. This freshman year I have not joined any clubs but sophomore year I would consider joining clubs. This freshman year I don 't think I 've changed much from middle school
When I started Unity High School I thought that it was going to be boring school because my first choice was Skyline but my mom made me come to this school so I had to obey what my mom wants because she takes care of me and helps me with whatever I need help with so going to the school that she wanted me to go to was the least I could have done. I thought that high school was going to be difficult because the work that my brother would bring home when he was in high school looked really hard and I did not understand most of the work he needed to complete. But I realized that I need to be taught the material before I go on and do the work
There are many ways high school has prepared and shaped me for my future. Ideas shared between both myself and my peers and also teachers like where they’re going or where they went. There are many paths to choose from after high school such as going straight into the workforce or I could join the military/reserves and assist my fellow countrymen. I do plan on going to college after high school but I am still not sure what I plan on going for.
Beep, beep, beep, beep, bee- “Ugh,” I groaned. It was Wednesday morning and I had a big math final today. I got up out of bed and went to go open my white curtains, that hung low to my floor. The sun welcomed my face with a warm, bright embrace.
Summer was winding down and I was getting ready for school. I was kind of nervous but I felt good. I was ready to out of middle school. I heard that the upper classman were really rude to the freshman so I was nervous.

I was scared, and pretty much lost, but as the day went by, I tried finding my way, and learning the whole building. As the weeks and months went by, I soon started seeing how friendly everyone was, my teachers were all nice and amazing. I started noticing middle school wasn’t that bad as other people
On my first day at Middleton High School, I stood by my locker for several minutes, paralyzed by the sight of the wide hallway swarming with people I didn’t recognize. I had just moved from a school with a student body of five hundred to one with a class size of five hundred. At my old high school, Lakeland Union, I was the class president and knew most of the students in other grades from sports and extracurricular activities. Furthermore, I was familiar with the town
Everything is not always what it seems. I was always the one who kept everything to herself - I could be screaming on the inside, but completely silent on the outside. In my situation, the third time was the charm. The start of high school was the start of negativity, not only mentally, but neurologically. Insecurities, seizures, and anxiety overwhelmed me.
If you were to ask me what my dreams were before high school, I would have told you it was to simply be happy. Before high school I had such a simple life and could only think the endless possibilities I had waiting for me in the future, but now that time has come and everything is becoming a reality. All throughout life obstacles will be placed in your path, but it was not until now I realized that they are not put there to hurt you, but to make you stronger. A while ago, my mom had been married to a man named Martin, who happened to be the father of my two youngest sisters, Wanjiru and Wanjugu.
My first day of high school as a freshmen in a new level of education Is what I was thinking when I woke from slumber that morning in bed. Stepping foot on the campus wasn’t even the beginning, taking the school bus in the morning is where the first taste of being a freshmen and actually starting and being an high school student. I started to get really nervous and a sense of reality hit me. Walking towards the bus stop all I see is a huge group of high school students waiting around for the bus, calm and cool as I try to stay to be I approach the waiting area not knowing what to I’m getting into.
