I, myself, am not against the use of marijuana for medical purposes if it helps a person with their pain, especially if that person is facing a life threating illness and this is a source of relief. Many people that are using medical marijuana do not care about the possible physical or mind-altering consequences they could acquire due to use because they are worrying about more serious consequences like death. However, I do think a person needs to be aware of the physical and mind-altering side effects they could face because of their recreational choices. I agree that an adult is old enough to make their own choices and they have done reasonable will to get themselves this far. However, I do believe that adolescents need to pay attention to the possible side physical and mind-altering side effects they could inquire due to prolonged marijuana use. Many adolescents do not realize these choices could possibly change the way they live their lives in the

Starting from the beginning, I will tell you what marijuana - also called grass, ganja, pot, and various other slang terms - is. Marijuana comes from the Indian hemp plant and is the greenish-brown mixture of the dried flowers of cannabis sativa. When I was younger I used to believe that speaking positively about Marijuana, makes you look like a bad personage or either worse, a criminal. This opinion was based on the false information media produced and on the government laws of my country. However, by enhancing my knowledge, I have decided that cannabis offers so much to humanity, that not only it has many benefits, it has to be legalized.

Yet, the modern view of marijuana is of calm, happy, sedate individuals who do nothing with their time. The plant itself also has many medicinal and commercial properties that are beginning to be embraced.
