Question 1.1 Firstly, EDC practitioners should not use food in art activities because food is meant for eating and it is extremely expensive. There is an extreme demand for food in poor communities. There are many homeless people who go to bed without having a meal for the day, and the amount of job loss in the community means that people do not have enough money to survive to even buy food to feed and support their families. However, EDC practitioners should not use food in art activities because it may offend a number of cultural groups who use the food for religious celebrations. Through implement activities in this classroom, I observed that children have capacity to use materials in variety of ways to learn and explore base on their experiences and interests. Even though I have planned my activity and image how children might approach to the materials, I restrain instructions and let children express how they play and learn. I stay beside to observe and assist when children needed. It is treasure to see how children excited to learn and be creative. In the classroom, I’m sensitive to individual differences and abilities.

From being a student myself, I personally do not find learning beneficial when it is simply told to me. Instead of reinforcing the traditional teaching methods, I believe that students need to be active learners. Most people learn best when they are part of the learning process, have a voice in the discussion and can evaluate and reflect on their own learning. Furthermore, I also found it difficult to prepare and lead a lesson that was appropriate for the age group, yet not too difficult.
There is a problem with a lot of schools; the administrators think that the fine arts are not as important as sports they cut funding for The fine arts and to give that funding to the sports, this is a problem because the fine arts courses are you please important the students and teachers and schools. When the school cuts money for the arts, the programs suffers. This year there were quite a few classes that were cut, a third of them being arts classes. There were many students that were disappointed that the school board decided to cut these classes. The arts are important and deserve/need equality in the amount of funding and support that they get compared to the amount that the sports get.
Is having junk food in school really such a bad idea? Does it obtain a value that some schools lack? Junk food was provided in school, before the health program came into place, banning it from schools around the country. It was proudly served and allowed in school, and also sold for many school fundraisers. Although some people might say that junk food can be unhealthy, schools should allow, or serve, some junk food because it will make the kids want to eat school lunches more, it will bring in more money to the school, and it will give the students the calories that they need.
