C. Reflection on all of Task #1
After doing these tasks with the child. I see that she can pay close attention to what I was doing with switching everything around. Even though she got a question wrong but she still did a good job overall in observing what I was doing in front of her. So yes she has her own thoughts in how she sees things just as other children would. Each child has their own imagination and see things a different way from another. So one might see something the other doesn’t or even notice something that the other doesn’t as well. So overall she did do a good job as a four year old where at this age they have a wide variety of imagination. Even though she is a bright little girl, all kids at this age might have had the same answers or just a little
Recommendations Based on the data that I have collected both from the WJ III assessment and the CBA that I conducted, I would recommend that the focus of Brian’s help should be on applied problems with focus on math fluency. There were other areas where performed below grade equivalency but I feel that the focus should be on math fluency because there is a chance that once he has mastered math fluency, his performance in the area of applied problems may come up as a result. I recommend that Brian be tutored at least twice a week, every week for thirty minutes per session in order to help him with his math fluency and applied problems.

She notices what adults see and what children see the world is different. Children have been around for the least time having the less experience. Question were in her her mind from her childhood. Her motor and fine motor skills are developing properly, her cognitive mind is at the preoperational stage common for children her age, and she has shown to be comfortable with separation and emotions. On a personal note, I really enjoyed this time to play and learn about child K. From my experience with child K, I learned that how accurate growth development concepts can be. It’s like we have figured out the algorithm of how humans develop.

Journal Entry: During this observation I watched how the teacher used ELA and understanding checks with her students. The teacher asked students to find one person whose birthday it was in the same month as theirs, then together go pick up a task card and follow the direction on it until she told them to rotate. One of the first checks I saw her perform was when she went up to different groups of students and asked the students to show on their hands how many objects they needed. “That’s right its 2 cones and yes 4 balls.

She obviously does not have an idea how she get there, most of children in her age would be scared, but she is not at all. That shows her fearlessness… or naivety. The new world when she has just appeared is chaotic but has strict rules. It does not make logical sense and the time goes by a different way than in the real world.
