Since humans have been able to record history and ergo teach it to an audience, everyone whether they consciously realize or not has an interest in the realm of public history. It can answer so many question whether concerning a single individual to and entire nation. At the head of this is a public historian who is charged at times with knowing specialized history for its audience in accordance to where they are residing. Although it is important for a public historian to know their audience, it is just as important for the audience to be aware of their public historian as well.
The best way to define public history is to say that it is a type of history that can be applied to the natural world. However, there is no specific job that ‘public history’ fall into due to its diversity and range. At best, one can put it into three categories, archives, museums, and historic sites. Within these three categories there are diverse occupation ranging from administrative positions, researching,

Now public historians can make use of archives to trace family trees and help with the preservation of their history via digitalization of the information contained on public records rather than having to retain hard copies into files of sorts where they are at risk of being destroyed or damaged.
When it comes to Public Historians and their audience, the Public Historian has to be aware of the information that they display and how they do it without having public backlash. At times this can be an obstacle, for a historian, history is the way it is and it cannot be changed simply because an individual does not like how history actually played out. Public Historians may have to become involved with the public in order to personalize the exhibit or the information that they are displaying so that it can appeal more with the intended
History - the study of past events, particularly in human affairs. Asking me to write about the History of Flagger Force is like asking me to write my autobiography. I say this because I am officially the longest tenured operations employee in King of Prussia. Much like we say every member of our field staff remembers their first week on the job, I remember my first week on the job also.
Roger Daniel’s points out that there is masses of evidence pre dating the 1920s which can argue that hostility toward immigrants was certainly not a new development in America. This is an equally important factor as it shows there was always a flaw with the ‘melting pot’ theory and hostility was always a major part of America’s history. In the 1860s large numbers of Chinese immigrants flocked to America as cheap labour for projects such as the Union Pacific Railroad and by the 1870s there was over 1000,000 Chinese immigrants in the United States. They were often threatened with racial violence and driven out by WASPs who were threatened by the cheap labour they were willing to offer.
The historians give the reader places to look for more information, as well as see their thought process through footnotes and prefaces, and the reader will, hopefully, use that to probe their own thinking and join in a considerable number of scholars, students, and curious intellects who continue to question these trials
In the journal article “ Andrew Jackson versus the Historians”, author Charles G. Sellers explained the various interpretations of Jackson, from the viewpoint of Whig historians and Progressive Historians. These interpretations were based on the policies of Jackson. The Whig historians viewed the former president in a negative way. They considered him arrogant, ignorant, and not fit for being president. Sellers pointed out that it was not just because of “Jackson’s personality…nor was it the general policies he pursued as president”
Steven Hahn’s lecture holds several great points, but his introduction resonates with me when he explains that it is nearly impossible to write a history of one state from a different place of origin. Hahn explains that the corresponding viewpoints would be too great and in order to fully understand the history of one place, you need to have some sort of connection to the place itself. Such a connection forms when places construct a history that brings citizens together, either through public celebrations or remembrance of past events specific to that state. This allows citizens who experience these events to hold a deeper connection and understanding of their home state, and thus write a comprehensive and in-depth history on said state. Non-citizens would not have those same experiences, so they would not be able to write such a full history since they lack the fundamental understanding that citizens hold.
Constitutional Convention: America, the land of the free and the home of the brave, will suffer no longer under the tyrannical British government but will flourish under the enlightened republic America has come to known today. The American people struggled as one, one united group of citizens in the fight for unalienable rights protected under a sturdy government. The American spirit was seen as early as the Age of Exploration in the mid-17th century, foreigners at the time, but with common motives: God, gold, and glory [2]. My ancestors sought to spread the Christian religion to as many Natives as possible, in hopes of one day restoring their savageness and instilling a devout life amongst the Lord. The intention to broaden their influence
History is a novel idea that has been a continuous idea throughout our time in class. We have gone over what history means to us, the students; as well as the authors and filmmakers we have studied. For me, before this class, History merely meant what we

James Madison, also known as the “Father of the Constitution”, achieved many great things during his 85 year long lifetime. He helped to build our great nation and stuck with it through the toughest times. An influential politician, Madison was an intelligent and impassioned man with a love for liberty and justice, and fought courageously to allow everyone to have the basic freedoms that modern Americans enjoy. He built our country, and we have him to thank for our wonderful republic. Madison was born on March 16, 1751, in Port Conway, Virginia, however he soon moved to the Madison house in Orange County, Virginia.
The first amendment allows us to share our opinions in several different ways. Peacefully resisting laws we disagree with is an important way to share our opinions and make a difference. Rosa Parks did not cause harm to any passenger on that bus, and she made an incredible impact. In today's times, we often have protests when a group of people feel that someone was unjustly killed, commonly centering around police brutality. These peaceful protests are perfectly fine to have.
Visiting museums is always fun for many people, especially when you are a little kid. You get to see all kinds of different historical works done by the people from the past and present. I recently haven’t been to any museums since I was little, until I got to visit one for this course. For this Action Research Project Paper, I visited Dallas Freedman’s Memorial located in Dallas, Texas. Dallas Freedman’s Memorial is one of the most beautiful museums and quite depressing at the same time.
Monuments, displays, and museums are all examples of how history influences our daily lives. Without realizing it, we assume that the things we read and the physical history we can see is always true. History also has the effect of being “watered down” when given to the public. We can better understand that the credibility of each source from each story will differ with the information given. Having a better knowledge of how history is created by the realities seen by the historians.
A golden age is a period of time when an empire thrives. It thrives socially, economically, and politically. Both Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome experienced a golden age. Ancient Rome’s Golden Age was called the Pax Romana. Pax Romana means “roman peace”.
American History Education Reforms The definition as well as the specific parts of accurate American history is a highly debated topic- especially in regards to educating children on American history. In “Let’s tell the Story of All America’s Cultures” by Yuh Ji-Yeon gives her point of view on the controversial topic of the success of American history education. As the author is a Korean immigrant she has a special connection to this topic, and is writing this article to giver her opinion in the debate of reforming education in America. Ji-Yeon successfully persuades the audience that American history education in the United States is discriminatory by using her personal experiences and emotions as she informs the audience of a possible solution
On a bright and beautiful Saturday morning, students went to get their hair and nails done, last minute accessories, and finished last minute touches on their outfits for the night. Homecoming was approaching and it was inevitable for the night to not be prodigious. As nightfall came around students rushed out their houses, into their limos and cars, and jetted to northwest for a world adventure. Brenda Perez, described the night as "Homecoming for me was new memories to make with all my friends that i'll never forget. While the music was good, it was still out of my music preference, everyone still danced and had fun".
