The book “Night” is a memoir written by Elie Wiesel. The book is about the main character Elie Wiesel, and how Eliezer’s family are from a small town, put in a concentration camp after being separated. Elie goes with his father and they both have to survive the harshness of Auschwitz.

The Burden In the Holocaust narrative Night, written by Elie Wiesel, Elie’s relationship with his father, is tested. Elie has to grow up and make adult decisions concerning his father due to his unfortunate circumstances. Elie must have has one question on his mind during the Holocaust, “is blood that thick?” Elie’s father is a burden to him because he is stubborn and he puts Elie in danger. Elie’s father, Shlomo, is the reason why he died during the Holocaust.

People thought that this was war and tragic things were going to happen, but they did not understand the severity. When people finally opened their eyes and understood it was too late to stand up, Hitler was too powerful. Wiesel, throughout the book, describes his own life from his life in Sighet to after he is freed. He is living a relatively normal life, until the threat of the Nazis comes about.

Faith. Anytime something unexpected happens to anyone, everyone always says have faith; but is it faith in God, others, yourself?
