The book “Night” is a memoir written by Elie Wiesel. The book is about the main character Elie Wiesel, and how Eliezer’s family are from a small town, put in a concentration camp after being separated. Elie goes with his father and they both have to survive the harshness of Auschwitz.

Why Night Should Be A Required Reading Night by Elie Wiesel is a book about a young Jewish boy living through World War II, and how he was forced to survive in the concentration camps. There were many forms of torture and abuse happening in these camps, and Night is a book that shows how intense life really was. For many reasons, Night by Elie Wiesel should be a required high school reading. It is a nonfiction book that teaches the importance of learning the brutal acts that were carried out in history, and implies many reasons why the world should never have to see that experience again.

A father and son bond can take many forms depending on what the father and son are like. Some of the relationships in this book are positive and some of them are negative. The bond between Elie and his dad is mostly positive. They get seperated from the rest of the family and only have each other.

Survival is key, but most people do not know what the key to survival is. The key to survival is family and how they are always there for each other. Family is always there for one another and guide each other through tough times by having strength and always keeping their heads high. That is what happened in the novel Night. In many cases people with different religions are persecuted because of their beliefs or rituals. In the book Night by Wiesel, people of the Jewish religion are persecuted by the Nazis because of their religious beliefs.

With only his father by his side and to be separated from his siblings, the Jewish family go through the camps of Nazi Germany, and the more disgusting reality that sits beyond normal textbooks. Just like the rest of the prisoners, they face under poor conditions and are forced to work until they eventually collapse. Surviving, the rest live in utter fear for what is to come.

Many people may wonder or question if human rights can be actualized for every person. Today I will be arguing both sides of this question. I will be using evidence from the book Night by Elie Wiesel and his speech Perils of Indifference. Just to sum up Elie’s life, he was a Jew when the Nazis started to put them into concentration camps and either move or kill them. They were worked until they could not work anymore.

Wiesel is a survivor of the Holocaust prison camps during World War II, and records his time there in order to preserve the lives of those who died. Without these memories, he fears the severity of the situation would not be taken seriously, and soon, the lives taken in the camps would be forgotten. People must fight hard, have unspeakable grit, and go through life-changing events just to have a chance at the freedom they were unsure would ever come. We’re let in on the unbearable experiences and effects concentration camps had on many of the innocent people forced to try to live life as normal there. The Holocaust was traumatic for all involved. Traumatic events can cause long-lasting harm, though something like this, more than likely, will last for the rest of someone’s life. Most people that suffered through the Holocaust now have to live with the torture that is post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Some might even argue that it would have been better to have died than endure such damage stuck in the human psyche. Because of the disregard of human rights, loss of family, and heavy psychological damage, dying during the Holocaust would be seen as preferable.
