Fall sports have reached their end for this season, and Sarah Koehler, the certified athletic trainer from Ashland High School, has finally started to enjoy some of the downtime between the sporting seasons. Koehler has become a familiar presence at Ashland High School and first started working there as the fall sports were kicking off. She is an employee of Essentia Health, but the most likely time that you will find her is when she is helping with an injured student athlete. In an interview, Koehler said that she had always had a passion for healthcare and athletes, so it worked that she should become an athletic trainer. The biggest concerns that a lot of coaches, athletes, parents and medical practitioners have nowadays is facing a brain
Stephanie Young and Amie McKibban were new to the faculty at the University of Southern Indiana (USI) in 2009. They mutually decided that there was a need for “Safe Zone” trainings at the University. The paper they published is distinctly written to explore the tensions that both authors experienced in establishing a Safe Zone training program at USI. The authors use qualitative methods of recording their experiences and how they relate to one another, and the wider social implications their experiences were based around. The bulk of the paper is spent discussing how they collaborate, sometimes with more success and other times with less.

Teacher technology support within the XYZ school district is essential to integrate available technology tools into the curriculum effectively (Helms, 2014). While this school district is making considerable progress in incorporating technological resources within the curriculum effectively, a need exists for further development in leveraging technology within the curriculum (GaDOE, 2008). In 21st Century classrooms, electronic hardware and software can support numerous resources for differentiated lessons to students with access to these resources
One of the professors in the module pointed out that there is a line between remediation and compensation. Schools tend to focus heavily on remediation and that can send a message to the child when they continue to struggle that they can’t learn. Another reason is that assistive technology can improve the functional skills of a student, which helps the student succeed academically. 3. Why is it important to consider both AT devices and services?
To prevent possible abuse from those working directly with children and to prevent allegations of abuse it is important to adopt good working practices. These help young children to get a feel of what is appropriate and may help them to respond if another adult behaves differently. The basis of safe working practice is openness so that other adults in the setting can either see or know what you are doing when you are with the children.
The career choice that I have chosen is to become an athletic trainer. I love to play sports and be around sports, so I think that being an athletic trainer would be a good career for me. I like to help people and make an impact in other peoples life and becoming an athletic trainer would allow me to help people recover, start to feel better, and get back to what they have to do. There isn’t much better than doing a career that you enjoy and like to do plus making pretty good money doing it. I just feel that becoming an athletic trainer and doing it as a career would be the best fit for me.
One of the key to the successful teaching of physical education is the use of a broad range of approaches and methodologies. As it is acknowledged that schools, classes and teachers will vary, some methods will suit particular circumstances better than others, and the nature of the strands themselves necessitates the use of a variety of teaching methods. There is a need to examine the teaching methods which will best enhance the achievement of the objectives, taking factors such as the content and context of the lesson into account, as well as the needs of the learner. Teaching means sharing, guiding, changing behavior, impressing, disciplining, counseling, directing and inspiring. Good teaching is a process of producing end products of
The video I choose for this assignment is called Teaching Physical Education: 7th Grade Team Handball taught by Connor Vincent. The video lasted 37.13 minutes. The PE class was held inside a gymnasium with both boys and girls participating with approx. 30 kids participating. Mr. Vincent was the only instructor in the class and you could tell he was trying to play a game all the students could participate in at one time.
604 assignments 1 1) Concepts and structure This essay will first answer what is skill theme approach? The term inclusion is often seen as simply referring to learners with special needs, where it is interpreted as the ‘complete acceptance of a student with a disability in a regular classroom.’ However the notion can be viewed much more broadly. A common misconception about inclusion is that it is solely about including people with disability in regular sport activities without any modification. (Australian sports commission) However being inclusive is about providing a range of options to cater for people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds, in the most appropriate manner possible.

Classroom Observation Reflection Abrar Hilal University of Oklahoma Tuesday, February 12 Classroom Observation Reflection Special Education Classroom Report The special education classroom that I observed, included the main teacher, two teacher assistants, and ten students with Developmental Delays. The main teacher uses technology to aid the students to learn easy and faster. A smart board is present in the classroom, but the teacher doesn 't use it often as she prefers to use her own handouts and her specially created activities. I think this is effective as she can modify activities better and so that the students benefit from that personalized touch.
This allows students to use the voice recorder on their phone to save a lot of time in class. It stands to reason that if students can record a lesson on their phones they can during class they can take notes easier, do presentations out of class with the information you need on your phone, and do other class projects outside of class and/or school. So this makes having students use their cell phones during class very useful for information so they can do their work outside of school if needed, because some students might fall behind with the lack of information from teachers when they are
