There are many different accounts as to how Bundy was shown or found the information, but it is clear that that moment deeply impacted him. Studies have shown that forty-eight percent of offenders have admitted to having some sort of rejection during their child hood (Simpson, 2000; Hickey, 2002). This rejection was with his mother and his grandfather (Samuel). Samuel was described as a horrible person. Samuel Cowell was verbally and physically abusive, had bigotry towards everyone who was not like him, and he was abusive towards the family and neighborhood pets.

As a law student, Bundy was arrested on a kidnapping charge in 1975 and was awaiting trial for murder in December 1977 when he escaped. From January to February of 1978, he went on a spree of killing and rape. Among his victims, there was a twelve-year old girl. He was brought to trial; he acted as his own defense lawyer in a televised legal proceeding.

On November eighth Bundy had posed as a police officer outside of a mall in an attempt to lure in his next victim.

In fact, Bundy wasn’t extremely intelligent, and was not a genius, he only had an IQ of about 124, and he was not wildly successful in school, he was an average student who actually failed out of college after being dumped by a girlfriend, though he did return to school at a later date and finish (Michaud & Aynesworth, 2000). Even so, there was something that everyone could agree upon, Theodore Bundy was a deranged sociopath who became famous for murdering all of his victims, he was one of the serial killers to become extremely famous because of his killings, and some would say that he seemed happy to be getting all of the recognition (Michaud & Aynesworth, 2000). With articles written about him titled, “Bundy: The Man, The Myth, The Legend” he had truly become a legend (Caputi, 1989). In the biography " Samuel Little" Eudie states " Little told a Texas Ranger in his 2018 confession that he had fantasized about killing women from a young age. He was always focused on women’s necks, even pinning an image of a woman who had been strangled to death on his wall. " I think that this evidence shows that Samuel had issues from the start. In another article "Samuel Little: The Most Prolific Serial Killer In U.S. History" Joseph states " he began having violent sexual fantasies about women as early as kindergarten when he would watch his kindergarten teacher touch her own neck. He also began collecting true crime magazines that depicted women being choked at an early age".

So during the time he was in Washington, he went to school at Woodrow Wilson High School in Tacoma, where he graduated in 1965 (Gainsburg). Through his adolescent years, Bundy kept to himself and did not talk to others much. He also showed signs of sadistic behavior or viscousness toward others. These signs occurred when Bundy started watching porn, and he would lurk around women or watch them extremely carefully, and he would even spy through people's windows (SC5). Ted in his early life also believed this, therefore he became a role model for Ted which shows why Ted would eventually carry this violent side in his life. Ted’s biological father was never known. This meant that she dated a string of men and one of these men became her husband and was a major influence on Ted and he lead him to change his name to Ted Bundy.

At the beginning of his rampage, Bundy would sneak into the victims house in the middle of the night, violently attack them while they were sleeping with a blunt object and then Bundy would usually sexually assault them.
