There is a dichotomy in Buffy the Vampire Slayer: sinner or saint. Several characters are able to bridge this: Spike and Buffy being two of the notable examples, playing both roles throughout the series. However, the female vampires of the series consistently fall into the latter category of sinner, and not only that, but a sexually deviant or hyper sexualized sinner. There are no recurring female vampires in the show that do not become categorized in this extreme way. Willow is only a vampire in two different episodes (“The Wish” and “Dӧppelgangland”), yet the transformation that she undertakes is startling.

I am writing on behalf of the 8th Grade Class at Monticello Trails Middle School to persuade you to publish a book for Kansas. Kansas would like a book because 46 out of 50 states do not have a Goodnight Series book and Kansas is one of those 4 states that do not. I believe that Kansas deserves to be included in the Goodnight Series because many people believe that Kansas is a boring state but there are many things that other states do not have that are in Kansas. Kansas has so much to offer to the Goodnight Series because Kansas is home to some of the most iconic things. Kansas is the soccer capital of the United States where men and women play soccer on the Sporting KC team and some on the USA team.

Today I am honored to be standing here presenting the Conn Smythe trophy to my friend Duncan Keith. The Conn Smythe is awarded to the most valuable player during the Stanley Cup Playoffs. I first heard of this tremendous defensemen back in the 2009-10 season where he helped prevail the Chicago Blackhawks to their first Stanley Cup victory since 1961. It seems like Duncan never has a bad season and makes very few mistakes on the ice. The amount of time he puts into this game really shows his dedication and love for hockey.

There are many factors to consider while composing an impressive persuasive speech. I want to convey a meaningful delivery, at the same time influence and inspire my audience. Applying the techniques and guidelines discussed in chapters 13 and 14, I feel as if my persuasive speech will live up to the expectations I have set forth. The techniques I plan to utilize are as followed. Logos-

‘Poverty’- a simple word with unlimited connotations. Poverty is a universal issue that has been plaguing our Earth for centuries; thus it is essential that the immensity of the situation is acknowledged by everyone. If looked up, you’ll find the exact definition of poverty being: ’general scarcity, dearth, or the state of one who lacks a certain amount of material possessions or money. [1] Poverty is a multifaceted concept, which includes social, economic, and political elements. [2] Poverty may be defined as either absolute or relative.’

"Don 't you as a parent want your child to succeed don 't you want your child to be somebody don 't you want your child to be able to at least support themselves and not just be some bum begging for loose change at a street light". I hope that you take into consideration helping your child to receive great education not just good but great. Schooling will help your child grow as a person,meet various requirements for various jobs, and make a ton of money off of the occupation they choose after they have received their education. With the right schooling and the right requirements and opportunities seized by your child they could even help shape the world as we know it. hopefully for the greater good of the city,nation,or world .
