The American colonists held the Boston Tea Party on December, 1773. It was not a party though. It was a protest against taxs from England. The British Parliament had already taxed sugar, coffee, wine, and newspapers. The tea tax was too much. The colonists decided not to take any of the taxed tea. When the tea arrived, it was returned to England or put in warehouses. In Boston, the tea company was determined to unload its cargo. The colonists had to act fast. One night, a group of colonists dressed up as Native Americans. They called themselves the Sons of Liberty. They borded three ships and dumped all the tea on bored into the harbor. Then, they marched through the streets of Boston. The colonists were punished. The British Parliament closed
The colonists were still not represented in the British government and didn’t have a say on how the taxes could be done. The colonists wanted the tea returned to England, but it wasn’t and they decided to protest the unfair tax. The Boston Tea Party Was it a big, fun party with tea?
To show England that they would not give up, on December 16, 1773, a group of colonists snuck onto a ship filled with tea and dumped around 350 chests of tea into the Boston Harbor. This is known as the Boston Tea Party. They did this because the British would not let colonists grow their tea and charged them for the tea that came from England. The colonists wanted their independence from Great Britain so they
The Boston Tea Party happened in the year 1773 and shows that the colonies have thoughts of rebellion from Britain. It happened because the British placed a tax
On December 16, 1773 the Sons of Liberty members dressed up as Native Americans, snuck out of their homes late at night and headed for the docks of Boston, Massachusetts and famously pulled off the Boston Tea Party led by Samuel Adams, the leader of the Sons of Liberty. With that, the Boston Tea Party begun the beginning of the revolution of the “shot heard around the world” which was April 19, 1775. Because of the American Revolution, the United States get a say in their own country, and run it the way America wants it to be run. The USA is free from the British rule.
The Boston Tea Party was a major event in history that occurred on December 16, 1773 in Boston, Massachusetts (which tomorrow, by the way, is the 242nd anniversary, so it is a bit ironic that my paper is due on its anniversary). On the night of the 16th, 100 Bostonians disguised themselves as Indians under the leadership of the Sons of Liberty, smashed a total of 342 tea chests in a span of three hours that had been delivered into the harbor, and had dumped the contents of the chest into the Atlantic Ocean. The Bostonians that had disguised themselves as Mohawks smartly and conveniently avoided detention by the officials that would have caught them and horribly punished them. Their dressing up as Mohawk Indians symbolized that the Sons
The tea was an item that the colonies had no other way to receive besides
This political protest by the Sons of Liberty in Boston disguised themselves as Native Americans and destroyed an entire shipment of tea sent by East India Company. The British government responded harshly which escalated to the American Revolution. This act of civil disobedience was in protest to taxes being imposed on the colonies even though they had visual representation, which in simpler terms meant they had no representation. The colonist saw that the taxes being imposed was unjust, this caused the Boston Tea Party to throw all of the tea that was taxed. In the end of the American Revolution they fought against unjust taxes and improved social progress amongst the
The Second Tea Party was not just fun and games like it sounds. The Tea Party happened because of the tea that came to the harbor on March 6th 1774. The colonists were very angry about the ship coming back with tea that was under the same tax that made them rebel less than 4 months earlier. Yet the driver of the ship, Fortune, still thought it would be a great idea to bring back the tea with the tax. John Adams said “Twenty Eight Chests of Tea arrived Yesterday, which are to make an Infusion in Water, at 7 o 'Clock this Evening.”
It took nearly 3 hours to dump all of the tea into the harbor with 100 colonists. “Under pressure from the patriot groups, the consignees in Charleston,New York, and philadelphia refused to accept the tea shipment, but in Boston, the chosen merchants refused to concede.” (http://www.history.com/topics/american-revolution/boston-tea-party). Kathleen Parker’s article entitled “Tea Party has Steeped too Long for the Nation’s Good” is a admonishment of the Tea-Party for their failure (specifically through John Boehner) to raise the debt-ceiling. Parker’s motive behind this article is to convince the public of the kind of poltical dangers the Tea-Party presents and of the need to oust it from government. To do this, Parker employs blistering, cynical, admonitory tone behind her rhetoric, complaining of the Tea-Party’s hubris and incompetence, in general.
This made the colonists very angry. So on the night of December 16, 1773 the colonists, dressed up as Native Americans, boarded the British ships, and threw all of the tea overboard into the Boston Harbor. The main reason they did this is because they were protesting against taxation, but this lead to their independence from England years later.
The Boston Tea Party was a violent, courageous, and an eventful act that took place in 1997 because of constant disputes. It started to become a large issue when the British and English colonist constantly disagreed about the unfair taxes that were charged from the British. The colonists didn’t agree to the taxes at all the the government officials formed a plan. The British put such a hefty tax on the tea because they realized the demand was so outrageously high, and they could make a much larger profit off of it. Colonists did not want to pay the huge taxes, so they started buying/smuggling tea from East India, but the British wanted to have the colonists to buy tea from them because of the taxes.
The Tea Party originated from the Boston Tea Party and was officially created on September 2, 2004. The idea of the Tea Party formed when Congressman Dr. Ron Paul’s presidential campaign was a hit. This event contributed to the creation of the Tea Party that consists of members that are Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians, and independents who identify themselves with premises set forth by the U.S Constitution. One of the many well known members of the Tea Party is Sarah Palin, former governor of Alaska. They call themselves American Patriots from every race, region, national origin, and walk of life.

and they too were attacked so they had to fire into the mob. Parliament passed the Tea Act, which gave the British East Indians company a complete monopoly of the American tea business meaning the colonists could only buy tea from this company. The colonists opposed this law even though it lowered the price of tea. They viewed the tea Act as merely another example
