The Holocaust is a well known genocide in European History. Due to of the mature nature and gory subject of the Holocaust, it is a very controversial subject to be taught in schools. Some people say that the Holocaust shouldn’t be taught in schools, while others says it should but only to a certain degree. There should be lots of preparation in teaching students about the Holocaust. They should be prepared for the details they will learn and be mature enough to deal with these details. The Holocaust is an important subject to be taught in schools, because it teaches students valuable morals, helps them explore themselves, and it is important for people to learn from history.
The Holocaust involved many people from many different backgrounds, so it can be related to students. In the Holocaust people from certain backgrounds were targeted and sent to work in labor and death camps. Of these groups the most famous are the Jews, who were sent to work in these camps until they died resulting in the death of between 5 and 6 million Jews living in Europe. If it is never taught during school that shows children that society is ignoring it and it's not a big deal, so they can ignore it too. And if you ignore the Holocaust and other genocides, then it will become as if it never happened and all the people who were killed and who fought never existed. It becomes so that the people who worked 6 million people to death because they were Jews got a free pass from society, and if these things are ignored it becomes that we are guaranteed to relive the past. If we let children believe that even the people who sent Jews to work camps can be forgotten, then they will learn that no matter what they do wrong no one will ever remember

History is no longer dates that must be memorized, rather, it is events that lead to the understanding of the present day and it helps to take repercussions for the future.
