There are a lot of stories in literature with shared themes. Two novels that share themes are Night by Elie Wiesel and Copper Sun by Sharon Draper. The themes these two novels handle similarly are oppression, loss and survival. One of the key themes that both Copper Sun and Night explore is the theme of oppression. In Copper Sun, the main character, Amari, is taken from her home and sold into slavery. Throughout the book, she is subjected to a wide range of abuses, including physical violence and sexual assault.
