In the small town of Maycomb, a little girl named Scout believe that everyone was good, until she figured out that the town wasn't as innocent as she thought.

The town seems like a nice and quiet place to live. it's very small and everyone throughout the community know each other very well. News travels fast And so does gossip. word got out that a man by the name of Tom Robinson, assaulted a woman and ran from the scene. The woman's name was mayella Ewell, she was assaulted in her own home and decided to bring it to the courtroom, saying that Tom Robinson was to blame. Tom was able to tell his side of the story but was shut down and was convicted of the crime. No one believed what Tom was saying and this was due to his race, he was a black man in a racist community. Tom Robinson was brought to jail and was going to do his time. He soon realized that he needed to get out because he shouldn't be punished for something he didn't do. He attempted to escape by hopping over a fence located in the courtyard of the jail but was shot at and killed period soon after this happened the townspeople figured out the truth. The townspeople we're so fixated on the thought that a black man did something to a white woman, but they didn't bother to listen to the facts and understand who really did it. Atticus is not one of these people who thought that he was better than people. Atticus was on top side from the start of the trial all the way until the end. He knew that Bob was The one who was guilty. Statements were too inconsistent and all over the place to make it truly clear who would take the fault. Atticus's son ‘Jem’,Thought the same. if Atticus told Jem something important, Jem would trust his judgement. Atticus's daughter Scout was the same.
