10. TRIANGULATION IN RESEARCH.
The use of more than one method to collect data on a topic is triangulation. It enhances more understanding of the investigated phenomenon. It increases one’s knowledge and strengthens the researchers point of view. It’s just synonymous with Not Putting All Your Eggs in One Basket. The resultant effect from triangulation is the fact that the results gotten from the study is not by choice but by a rigorous method, It validates the findings. However qualitative researchers use it ensure that the information of the study is comprehensive and rich in facts and that the information captures the different aspects of the phenomenon under study. Data triangulation involves 3 things- time,

PERSONAL LIFE (TRIANGULATION IN RESEARCH):
Triangulation literally means to confirm, certain activities need the confirmation of another person who might be a professional in the field. sometimes I want to get an information that I am not too sure about before I use them. I call a knowledgeable person to ascertain its truthfulness before disseminating. This is triangulation because I want to understand the phenomenon better.
SOCIAL CONTEXT (TRIANGULATION IN RESEARCH):
Socially triangulation occurs when a third person is used as a substitute for direct communication. usually this method is used to express dissatisfaction with the main individual and it happens in dysfunctional families. For instance, a woman married to a husband who suddenly becomes an alcoholic. would discuss with her child on the way further to assist the father to stop drinking, instead of discussing with her husband, she tells the child who discusses tis with the father. The child fills the role of the third person and is being triangulated into that relationship which ordinarily is not his role and too young to understand what is really going on. This should not be, and should be discouraged. As researchers and feminist researchers who work in the field, this should be discouraged and families asked to seek

This is key to my practice as a nurse and I apply it on a daily basis as we intervene in patient care. Sometimes we have patients with pyrexia of unknown origin and all methods are used, continuous monitoring sometimes confirming with another equipment, asking another physician to review, sending blood samples to different investigations and collating in the care of the patient all in a light to validate the diagnosis and treatment. However, I did not look at it in this perspective until I started writing this paper. I would share it with my team and continue to do so. On the other hand, when it comes to research proper I will use these methods and give it a try. I will ask a colleague to use face to face interview to follow up diabetics while I do the phone calls and see if compliance would be
Fetal Alcohol Court Case Essay Normally babies would be born healthy from mothers that took care of themselves as best as they could while pregnant. The mothers usually don't drink alcohol because it's not safe for the baby and could cause health problems for them in the future. But, in this case that didn't happen. Jessica Nordeen got pregnant and purposefully still drank alcohol during her pregnancy after not only being told not to drink by the father of the baby but by the doctor that she went to throughout her pregnancy. Jessica Nordeen and Justin Garcia, were seniors in high school at the time and they partied a lot and drank all the time together, then Jessica got pregnant.
n research methods, every researcher uses a procedure or a means of measurement to collect data. For example, three types of basic measurement collection are self-reports, observational, and physiological. Each method has their pros and cons in research. Depending on the research you are conducting these methods of measurement can either guide you to great discovery the pro, or skew your data making it unreliable the con. Observational measure is the method of measuring behaviors by directly observing subjects (Leary, M. R. (2011).
Therefore, in conversations, individual ideas matter along with acknowledging and validating all family members’ feelings. My mother’s inability to have a child had a level of stress in the family unit early in the marriage. Thus, there became a less adaptive, somewhat differentiated marriage for a short period. Subsequently, after agreed upon in the decision to adopt, the more adaptive and well-differentiated marriage level strain was lower.
For this vSim assignment, I had to repeat the scenario three times before obtaining 100% on it, since I had forgotten about a few important steps when assessing my patient, and in my second try, I had forgotten to check the patient 's electronic health record even though I had already fixed my previous mistakes in the assessment. Three of the most important things I had to do differently in this scenario were to ask the patient about allergies to maintain patient safety before administering any drugs ordered, use the incentive spirometry to improve breathing and educate her about it since she had a hard time breathing due to pain, and educate the patient about wound care at the end before discharging her. Performing the procedures I missed in
P3 research: I will now compare different research methodologies for health and social care. There are two types of research that are commonly used when research projects are being taken out, which aim to benefit health and social care related services. These two types of research are called quantitative research and qualitative research. The difference between these two is how they collect the information they need in different way and use different kinds of sources, but both benefit the health system. Without research being carried out medical professionals/and laboratory scientists would not be able to provide us with improved medications that can improve our health.
(2011) stated that parents misusing alcohol can have a negative effect on the child development. Children may not achieve to their full potential when living with an alcohol user, this can lead to feeling unsafe, low self esteem, lack of trust and engaging in relationships with adults. Serious Consequences can occur for the children, which may lead to neglect, emotional difficulties and poor educational attainment (refererence) . In the serious case review of Child H, his father was a recovering alcoholic who had been struggling to control his drinking at the time scale of the investigation. On the 3rd of August 2009, the father of Child H and his sibling was very intoxicated while looking after the children(Bury safeguarding children board, 2014).
I strive to enhance the quality of human life through sound investigation and precise medical judgment. I hope to prolong life by simply understanding the mechanism of human disease, validating prevention and identifying the most effective treatment of disease. Research contributes an imperative component in for improvement of patient care, treatment, and prevention of health disparities and because of this I intend to incorporate practice and research. I am currently a senior student studying biology following the pre-medical track at Malone University. Preceding medical school, I intend to obtain additional research experience through biomedical research specifically regarding health disparities research.
Correspondingly, releasing a baby into the care of a former drug addict runs the risk of relapse and is a danger to the future of the child. Due to lack of proper care, officials remove the child when a mother does not seek sobriety. With the mother undergoing so much change and barely grasping reality, she is in no condition to look after a baby, she must first help herself. Most hospital workers fail to convince mothers to enter into drug-treatment programs, and some mothers refuse the care-most being poor and uneducated women (Condon 2). These mothers are not able to give the right care for their children and risk the child’s safety.
Such considerations fundamentally shape human life and family relationships. A women needs to be aware of the various psychological and social factors that contribute to the decision such as “that human parents, both male and female, tend to care passionately about their offspring, and that family relationships are among the deepest and strongest in our lives—and, significantly, among the longest lasting.” These key intrinsic goods- in this case factors such as human life, parenthood, and family relationships- are ultimately worthwhile are not to be taken without due

Their parents would always drink alcohol until it comes to a point that they are disregarding and neglecting their children. “Cheryl and I always woke up before our parents, so I would tend to Cheryl’s needs” (3). Both April and Cheryl would hear their parents yelling, fighting, knocking things over, and bumping into walls whenever they drink alcohol. They would also come to see their mother kissing someone else whilst their dad sleeping on the floor. Eventually, due to this family behavior, the Children’s Aid would come and intervene and take April and Cheryl away from their home.
o Chattering hopes and advices: Talk only when needed. o Food : Keep in mind, the patient’s food preferences.
Interdisciplinary research involves integrating knowledge and methods from different disciplines, using a synthesis of approaches (Repko et al., 2017). Basically, in interdisciplinary research, incorporating perspectives from multiple disciplines allows people to construct a more comprehensive understanding of a problem being addressed (Repko et al., 2017). There are both advantages and disadvantages to interdisciplinary research. The main advantage is that interdisciplinary research both draws from and integrates the different backgrounds and perspectives of multiple disciplines and then combines them into a single functioning unit, which allows for a more comprehensive understanding of a problem (Repko et al., 2017). Interdisciplinary research fosters greater critical thinking, synthesizes multiple disciplines, and develops life-long learning skills (Jones, 2010).
This method also refers to the major component of understanding the qualitative aspects of data that has been assimilated for analysis and can give a better understanding of the facts when analyzed
A child’s mother who has used alcohol and drugs while they were pregnant, sometimes the child might need special medical care all their lives and some might not be able to live on their own when they grow up. Within our society many people eventually get/have access to drugs and alcohol,
