Having read the GR, I would like to respond as follows: Page 4 Each member of the team is responsible for managing their timing on a daily basis to ensure all customer needs are attended to within the working hours. During every team meetings JA always state the importance of having all members of staff taking their lunch during the business stipulated hours of 12noon and 2pm. He has on numerous occasions stated that the full hour is taken and that each staff is to plan their work load so that it does not clash with this period. I have always told DG and EA the importance of taking their lunch break and everyone would attest that once I get up at 1pm to have my own lunch break I ask both of them when they are going to take their break. EA on numerous occasion stated that she is coming in a moment as she need to finish whatever she is doing. Sometimes her response is that she will be having her soup at her desk and not coming to the breakout area. There is a known trend before EA joined capital works from the customer service team in Greenleaf Close that she always work very late. At no point did I have a missed call from EA on any of my phones as stated in her testimony. DG came back into the office around 1.10pm and we asked her were EA was, she stated she is getting a lift from Kim Jefferies and they were getting into the car before she left site. After about 10mins without her showing up I requested that she called EA to find out were she was, when she did not pick up her phone SG and I asked her to call KJ to find out where they were. Donna Meader and I met with Lois Ryan, Allison Conklin, and Kim Warren on 3/17/16 from 10:30 to 11:30 regarding Jackie Watson’s FMLA. The meeting was scheduled by Chris Flyntz specifically to inquire about what options Chris has as a supervisor and what choices the agency has as a whole in regards to Jackie Watson’s continued absence from work. To begin the meeting, Chris provided each attendee with a copy of a calendar which is used as a tracking device for Jackie’s FMLA hours as well as non-FMLA hours. The calendar presented recorded Jackie’s absences from April 13, 2015 to current (FMLA hours were typed in, while non-FMLA hours were hand written in). It was noted that Jackie’s current FMLA paperwork received from her doctor indicates that she may need to miss work intermittently 1-2 times per month with each episode.

There are several procedures that help to maintain this health and safety however they can all vary between settings for example, health and safety procedures will be slightly different and more focused on certain areas in hospitals and especially in paediatric ward compared to in drop-in centres where the needs and risk to service users are slightly different. Some of the procedures used in health and social care to maintain health and safety include; infection control and prevention, safe moving and handling of equipment and individuals, food preparation and storage, storage and administration of medication and storage and disposal of hazardous substances.

I should be considered for the Kaiser Permanente Health Care Scholarship because I have proved and accomplished more than what I thought I would be capable of in my education, I am passionate for the health industry, and I financially need to be to succeed. I will continue my education by pursuing my goal to become a Registered Nurse. I first considered Registered Nursing when I joined the Health Academy and realized how passionate I was to help others. Throughout my years in the Health Academy, my passion grew drastically. Introduction Primary care is said to be the “first point of contact” for people when accessing the health care system in Ireland (Department of health and children 2001). The World health organisation(1978) outline that one of the main roles of primary health care is to provide access to care for the most vulnerable but also to identify and rectify the factors which lead to their early mortality. The Alma Ata declaration (1978) was a huge milestone in the development of primary care and they explain how essential it is for all populations’ health. Unfortunately the vulnerable populations in Ireland suffer the effects of the social determinates and also the health inequalities and die younger because they put up with a healthcare system which “places lesser value on the lives of those with lesser means” (Wren 2002).
