The Zodiac killer is one of the most infamous killers in American history. He murdered at least five people between the 1960s and 1970’s. His victims were often couples who were in secluded places around San Francisco. He received widespread media attention due to his habits of taunting the police and newspapers with coded messages. He signed his letters with his symbol, which was a circle with a plus sign over it. Although several suspects have been identified, the cases involving the zodiac killer have never been solved.
The Zodiac killer claims to have murdered more than 37 victims, but only seven have been identified two of who survived the attacks. Five murders have been directly linked to the zodiac killer. The first murder involved a 17-year-old male and his 16-year-old girlfriend who were shot dead near their car at a secluded location on Lake Herman port. The police could not establish the motive of these initial killings or a suspect to the murders. The second incident involved the shootings of a woman aged 22 and her boyfriend who was aged 19 who were sitting in a car that was parked in a remote location similar to the first incident. A man with a flashlight who fired several shots at them attacked the two killing the man and seriously wounding the woman. After the shooting, a man called the police, gave the location of the crime, and claimed responsibility for the attack and the previous attack.
The Zodiac was once a mixed psychopathic serial killer. He tormented the San Francisco Bay area through several random violent killings in the 1960's and 70's while never been caught either. The Zodiac killer also taunted the police force, with cryptograms and phone calls informing them of recent killings. The police have investigated and interviewed thousands of suspects. The police still get many tips every year about the true identity of the Zodiac killer.
This man is Richard Mallory, and the killer is Aileen Wuornos. She later goes on to kill several other men. The serial killer I chose was Nanny Hazel Doss also know as “The Giggling Granny”. Her birth name being Nancy Hazel. She was born on November 4, 1905 and then later died on June 2, 1965. Her birthplace was Blue Mountain, Alabama. Her parents were James and Lou Hazel.

A disturbing fact about serial killers is that most of them should be eminently identifiable. At the beginning of his rampage, Bundy would sneak into the victims house in the middle of the night, violently attack them while they were sleeping with a blunt object and then Bundy would usually sexually assault them.
There have been many serial killers over the years, one in fact is a man named Jeffrey Dahmer. Jeffrey Dahmer was a convicted serial killer and sex offender.
