The Most Dangerous Game
The Most Dangerous Game is a classic 1932 American Pre-Code adventure film adaptation of Richard Connell’s 1924 short story of the same name. Directed by Irving Pichel and Ernest B. Schoedsack, the movie stars Joel McCrea as Bob Rainsford, Fay Wray as Eve Trowbridge, Leslie Banks as Zaroff, Robert Armstrong as Whitney, and Noble Johnson as Ivan. This iconic thriller follows Rainsford after he falls off his yacht in the Caribbean Sea while hunting jaguars with his friend Whitney. He eventually washes ashore on an island owned by Count Zaroff (Banks), who has become bored with traditional hunting and instead now hunts humans for sport—thus setting up the ultimate game between hunter and prey.
