Abigail Adams, the wife of John Adams, used her position to bring forward her own strong feminist views and felt women should be included in the declaration. Abigail’s fight for women's rights made an extensive impact on history because she pioneered a path for future women to come. In Abigail and John Adams Converse on Women’s Rights, 1776, women want to be given the chance to live and be able to accomplish the tasks and responsibilities as everybody else in America. In the letter, Abigail writes to John saying without the women’s works that men will not be able to keep a family. She also says that he should not put all of the power with the men, because women need power to be able to take care of the family and work to keep their family both happy and safe. Abigail told John in her letters to remember the women when he was attending his meetings to develop the new Code of Laws.
When John is in a secluded place, Abigail approaches him. Abigail begs to continue the affair they once had, but John declines. Abigail used to work for John’s family, and that's how the affair had begun. John realized his mistake, and could never go back to her. Even when she forced a kiss upon him, he physically pushed her away and left.
He was not learning anything due to the lack of task James Putnam assigned him. Finally, John Adams was interviewed by Gridley where he becomes an attorney in Suffolk County. Abigail did this because she loved John and she knew that if she got his wife out of the picture they would have a better chance of being together because Elizabeth had recently kicked Abigail out of their house in fear that her and John had something going on. Abigail Adams was extremely influential to the nation’s beginnings due to her drive to push certain decisions and debates through the status of her husband. She found the issues of women’s rights and slavery while also finding local politics to be important. As the wife of a president, Abigail Adams was able to use her status in a way to push and bring to life her political agenda. Abigail Adams was able to provide her husband with information and insights of the political situation in Boston during his decade long trip through numerous letters that had been exchanged for so long. She was the epitome of an immoral, self-centered person. Many people were executed on her behalf and even more were damned. Everything she did agonized someone else. Through tyranny, she forced her friends to protect her. In the end, though, Abigail had no choice but to run away from where she had previously
Education was a big factor that Abigail urged women to have more of a passion for. An educated woman is a strong woman. She promotes that women are just as capable as men, and intellectual thinkers who want their voices to be heard. Since women had little rights for themselves, some women were against slavery, especially Abigail Adam’s, they saw how little to no rights slaves were given and saw a comparison of the situations and wanted to be that voice for them and those that joined her. John Adams had complete trust in her to be able to handle all that was going on in the household while he was gone.

But she was convinced that “women and men entered politics for different reasons; men entered to pursue their own careers while women were motivated by a desire to change society, to improve daily conditions of life”. While working with other women, Roosevelt became aware of the barriers women faced and with this experience, she began to focus on advancing and advocating for the rights and freedoms of American women. In today’s world, it seems to be that women have the same rights as men, but it wasn't always this way. The speech “Women’s Rights to Suffrage” by Susan B Anthony is the most compelling of all. Susan B Anthony persuades the audience that all women should have the same rights as men. It’s shown through the speech that the federal constitution says “we the people”, the government has no right to take away rights from just one gender, and that women are considered people as well. The fact that the constitution says “we the people” is a primary point in this speech.
Abigail, The Old Woman, is a very mobile character even though where she went was not something she had a say in. After losing the boy that would one day be her husband, she and her mother went to get away for a while. These plans quickly fell through, as they were taken by pirates, held as slaves, and were going to be sold in Morocco. Once they arrived, her maids and mother were tor limb from limb, and The Old Women passed out. She was then taken in by an Italian man, but not for long as he sold her off to another man.
