You think to yourself, self slow down regroup and think, five-seconds later boom you look right at it. Another disorganizing fact is school work, your at school all day get through all of your schedule and get home. Your parents ask “Do you have any homework today/tonight?”. You answer them back with a quick no, twenty minutes later you 're thinking about your day, shoot i have a 5 page paper due in the morning (diseases and disorders). ADHD is hard to be able for your body to take control. At a young age it is hard to have your mind take control over your body. My teachers were not impressed with the way I would act around my friends. When tired, I wouldn’t ever want to pay attention or listen to my teacher or peers. I would be more in the mood to sleep and go home. When I wouldn’t be in a happy place, or something I did not like I would never take them time. I implore you to read on if you haven’t heard of the shadow epidemic that’s taking American lives everyday. That epidemic is Xanax. Fifteen percent of college students have illegally been using Adderall the past year. Adderall impacts learning in various ways, but In the long run can cause more harm than aid. Adderall is used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder as part of a psychological and social issues. It helps to stay focused, pay better attention and stop fidgeting.
Many children have been diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD), and the amount of those children being prescribed a medication for their disorder has grown largely in the last couple of years. This caused concern to arise in doctors; some of them went as far to say that most children diagnosed and treated for ADHD are really just immature and undisciplined (Koplewicz). Even if this is untrue, they say that the children would do better if treated with alternative options. Children diagnosed with ADHD are in serious distress, but not because of bad teaching or parenting. It is because their brains work differently than others, and they need to be treated properly.

We, as a species have a hard time admitting when we are wrong. How do you live with something that has no cure? Sure, they have medication and counseling that can help subdue the problem for a short time being, but, it’s always there, haunting the corners of your mind. Attention Deficit Disorder, or ADD is a somewhat commonly known. People sort of know what it is, but that doesn’t mean that they completely understand what it is.
The concept of effortful control involves the child’s ability to purposely focus their attention in order to control a behavior or action, even after the action or behavior has already been started. This involves regulating their thoughts first in order to control the action, as a secondary step in the process they effect this change in action. Thus, the cognitive process is what allows the child to put in an effort to control their actions. As the skills of effortful control develop a child is essentially learning how to self-regulate and implement control over their actions in a willful way.
