Adnan Syed: Innocent Or Guilty

My verdict for Adnan’s Syed on the act on to see if he can testify about to see if he is innocent and I'll tell you why. My first piece of evidence is that Adnan did have an, ex-girlfriend but things got worse. When time goes on Adnan was charged with a human killing towards his high school ex-girlfriend and got sentenced to 17 years in an institution and this is why. Adnan strangled his ex-girlfriend to death because he was not showing joy in Hae Min Lee because she was was getting a new boyfriend. The detectives needed to find the murderer who killed Hae Min Lee, and if the investigators need strong informal evidence, then the investigators can put charges on Adnan.

This story is interesting because at some points you’re like Adnan is innocent and at others you’re like ohh….this could mean he’s guilty. I believe Adnan Syed is innocent because no forensic evidence was ever tested and used in trial. Also summer (last person in contact with Hae) claims that Hae couldn’t have been there at the time the state says she was murdered. The first reason i believe Adnan is innocent is that no forensic evidence was ever tested nor used in trial.

To put it simply, Adnan Syed had no reason to murder Hae. After the couple split up, multiple witnesses confirmed that Adnan did not seem to be ridiculously or unusually upset; it was merely another high school breakup.

If our judicial system still believes that someone is innocent until proven guilty, then Adnan has to be innocent, because they did not prove him

A psychologist, I can’t seem to remember his name, mentioned that when someone commits a murder they experience amnesia and say they didn’t do it and don’t remember doing it when they have the weapon in their hand. He said that this might have happened in Adnan’s case, he committed the murder and completely forgot, but again, there’s no physical evidence on the victim proving that Adnan was the one who murdered her. We also need to consider the release of Ronald Lee Moore just 2 weeks prior to Hae’s murder. His previous victim being a Korean girl as well. Maybe it was a coincidence that he was released and the strangulation prints on Hae were possibly from Moore.

Another notable aspect is that after Hae and Adnan broke up, Hae got in a small car accident and asked Adnan to come help her, her new boyfriend Don also showed up and confirms that him and Adnan had a cordial meeting and explains that they talked for 10 to 15 minutes even after the car situation had been figured out (Koenig “What We Know”). If Adnan was really that broken up about the breakup, he would not have been so friendly towards the new guy who seemed to take his place in Hae’s life.

Of course, many people think Adnan Syed is guilty of murdering Hae by contradicting himself, by saying, “I am in here for my own mistakes.” He might have been on the edge of confessing his guilt until Sarah caught this and asked what he meant, and quickly recovers from his mistake. Adnan also slips his tongue by saying that he wants people to only look at the evidence, and not his personality. If I were convicted of a crime I would certainly like to have my personality be looked at, if I were innocent. So they could see what good I have done.
