The war of 1812 was a conflict that involve the United States and the United Kingdom. During the Napoleonic Wars, the restrictions on the United States trade resulted in a British Blockade of allied ports which triggered the war. The British and Canadian support for the American Indians plan to resist westward expansion also prompted the war. This was a war that the United States did not want to get involved in due to a weak military force, but they had no other options. After trying to avoid the war, it eventually came anyways and continued until 1814.

Helping our veterans should be mandatory because of their sacrifice. Even though some people believe war veterans acquire enough from the Government, others believe they deserve more for their services. Veterans of the United States of America should not be homeless since they fought for our country with a sense of bravery and commitment. Therefore, the Department of Veterans Affairs should be reconstructed, also expanded to meet the growing need of our veterans.

When citizens of the United States stare up at their national flag - the 13 stripes and the 50 stars that represent the freedom their ancestors fought tooth and nail for - they probably fail to remember the lessons they were taught in school about the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, and the world wars. It is such a shame that they are ignored and even homeless in today 's society. I had wondered how we could get veterans of the street and back into the job world. Yet, in the 1950s, the U.S. thought it was believed that the only way to stop the spread of communism was to fight back against the potential formation of communist governments. When war broke out in Korea, it became a place for the United States to make a statement against communism on a global front joining with South Korea to combat the communist North.

I believe that the United States were Germans who were recklessly attacking people from different nations. First of all, it is every right of every person to defend themselves from attackers. When U.S was still neutral, many innocent civilians, including Americans, were killed off by the Germans in their unrestricted submarine warfare. Those boats were not even carrying a war supplies for the Germany’s enemies, only pain, unsuspecting passengers. Second of all, I believe it is the duty of people to help others who are in trouble.

The US has grappled with many questions about society’s obligations as to whether or not to offer services and benefits to the men and women in the armed forces. Supporters argue that helping veterans will help the society as whole and opponents argue that we shouldn’t be increasing our federal government spending in repaying veterans. Although I do see where people can argue that we are spending too much money on helping veterans after war, I believe that the government owes them for what they have done for the country, despite the cost. The government owes certain benefits to veterans because the men and women in the armed forces deserve to be welcomed home with a generous system of services for what they have done for the country. Helping veterans goes way back all the way to the 1600s.
