Paul Revere was a Bostonian silversmith, an industrialist and a patriot in the American Revolution. He is a notable example of an ordinary man who became politically involved and risked everything to save his world. Revere contributed the famous depiction of the Boston “Bloody” Massacre, he aided in the Boston Tea Party, and finally led the Midnight Ride to warn the Patriots that the Red Coats were coming. The Declaratory Act was passed by the British parliament immediately after the Stamp Act was repealed. I believe that the Boston Massacre was not a massacre at all instead it was just the act of self defense of a few british soldiers that were being attacked by upset colonists. The first main cause contributing to the Revolution can be cited as the imposition of various harsh acts and taxes to generate more revenue from the American colonies in order to meet the expenses of the French-Indian wars. Sugar Act, Stamp Act, etc. are some examples of these acts. With these impositions of such unacceptable acts, the unrest in the colonies started brewing which ultimately led to the great Revolt. All these causes were fuelled by the fact that no representatives were allowed to represent American colonies to raise their voice in the British parliament, and their needs were continually suppressed by the British administration.

The definition of a massacre refers to an unnecessary and random killing of a large number of individuals.
