On July 5th, 2011 Casey Anthony was found not guilty for murdering her two year old daughter Caylee Anthony in Orlando Florida. Caylee was found in a trash bag, with duct tape wrapped around her head to cut off air supply. There are many key pieces of evidence in the case that points toward Casey being guilty of the crime. I truly believe Casey killed Caylee, here are a few reasons why. Casey waited one month before telling the police that Caylee was missing. If that was my child I would report it the day I found out she was missing. When people would ask Casey where her daughter was she would always respond with “ Caylee and I are staying with a friend”. Casey also went to parties while her daughter was missing. When her friends and boyfriend
The Casey Anthony case is the trial of Casey Anthony for the death and murder of Caylee Anthony. The two parties in this case are Casey Anthony against the state of Florida. The trial is a criminal case because it is involving a murder of a child. The trial was originally heard in state court. Although Casey Anthony plead not guilty on the first degree murder charge, aggravated child abuse, and aggravated manslaughter of a child, she was convicted of the misdemeanor which was giving false information to the police and authorities and was given 4 consecutive years of jail time (one year per count) and was fined 1,000$ for each of her four counts (4,000$ in total).
When asking her daughter, Casey, where Caylee was she made many different excuses before finally admitting that she had not seen Caylee in weeks. Police suspected that Casey was responsible for the death of Caylee and after an investigation, Casey was charged
Casey Anthony “Smell of Death” In the summer of 2008, Casey Anthony daughter Caylee Anthony was last seen on June 16, 2008. No one knows where she was nor did Casey report that her daughter was missing. Time went by with no sign of Caylee reappearing. Casey’s mother called and reported that her granddaughter was missing and that Casey’s car smelled like a dead body had been in there.
Americans became fascinated by Casey Anthony when she became a household name following the disappearance of her daughter. After being raised in Ohio, Anthony was later charged with the murder of her daughter Caylee following their move to Florida. Anthony’s trial quickly became public, and shocked the nation after she was acquitted of all murder charges. The majority of America assumed Anthony was guilty, but without substantial evidence, the jury lacked the confirmation they needed to lock her up for good. The question remains today, how did Caylee Anthony die?
Caylee was a sweet innocent little girl who probably was scared and terrified. And, many of you may assume that Casey could have been terrified and was actually innocent. But, she wasn’t, nothing about Casey was innocent.
Other than the fact that almost everyone was against the sentence, which the jury finally said, there were opposers who thought that there definitely was not enough evidence to convict Casey Anthony of murdering her own daughter. As crazy as that sounds, the case itself was compelling enough to pass it on to the jury, thus the jury could make either decision, is she guilty or not, It all depends on which one you believe in a jury trial. It should be known that the jury for the killing is not a detective agency, so, there is an answer, who is the murderer. The goal
However, Prosecutors stated that Anthony had suffocated Caylee with duct tape because she wanted to be free to hit the nightclubs and spend time with her boyfriend (“Casey Anthony: Why did the jury say not guilty”). Although, in return, the defense that was led by Jose Baez stated that Caylee had drowned by accidently in the family’s swimming pool on June 16, 2008, and stated that the grandfather, George Anthony disposed of Caylee’s body (“Death of Caylee Anthony”). The defense then stated to the jury that Casey lied about the murder because Casey lived in a home of sexual abuse by her father. However, the defense did not show any evidence to the jury as to how Caylee died, nor evidence that Casey was sexually abused as a
The defense attorney claimed that Anthony and her father tried to cover up the death. A forensic expert is brought in and testifies that there must have been a decomposing body in Anthony’s car trunk because that was the only plausible explanation for the odor in the car trunk. Casey Anthony did not testify during the whole court process. The jury deliberated for almost eleven hours and their verdict for Anthony was that she was not of first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse and aggravated manslaughter of a child. She was found guilty of four counts of providing false information to law enforcement.
This just screams suspicion, but alas, there was no hard evidence that tied Casey into the placement of the body, so this was a moot point. Other points where brought up which could have very likely led to the death of Caylee. It was said by Jose Baez, Casey’s attorney, that Caylee had drowned in the family pool and George, Casey’s father, had been the one to dispose of the
The trial for Casey finally started in December 2011, three years after the disappearance of Caylee. The prosecution was seeking the death penalty, they tried to use the media as much as they could to try and get people on there side. They had images of her partying while her daughter was missing, they kept saying that she didn’t even want the child. They used every way possible to get the jury to feel bad enough for Caylee to get them on their side.
Not calling 911 and hiding the body was morally and criminally wrong. The lack of remorse bothered me as an utter disregard for her dead daughter and selfishness unparalleled. I believe that the prosecution’s putting the death
The Right to Abortion On January 22, 1973, in a 7-2 ruling, the U.S. Supreme Court handed down it’s landmark decision in the case of Roe v. Wade, which recognized that the constitutional right to privacy extends to a woman’s right to make her own personal medical decisions — including the decision to have an abortion without interference from politicians (Planned Parenthood). There are many moments in history when Roe v. Wade has been so close to being overturned, yet it is still in place. Abortion should stay legal, or not overturned, for the health of women everywhere. First, this important case took place at the time of abortion being illegal in most states, including Texas, where Roe v. Wade began.
On May 25, 2010 Casey Anthony 's lawyer states to the court and jury that Caylee was unintentionally drowned in the swimming pool of their home , and that Casey and her father had cover it up. The prosecution presented that Casey Anthony did research on chloroform at her home computer but her mother Cindy Anthony 's asserted that it was her that made the searches that implicated her daughter but the records showed that Cindy Anthony was at work when these searches were done. On July 5, the jury found Casey not guilty of first degree murder but she was found guilty on four misdemeanors because she provided false material to a law enforcement officers.
An Analysis of the Effects of Date Rape on Its Victims In the words of Helen Benedict (1992, p. 14) and I quote, “I prefer to characterize rape simply as a form of torture. Like the torturer, the rapist is motivated by the urge to dominate, humiliate, and destroy his victim. Like a torturer, he does so by using the most intimate of acts available to humans – sexual ones.” Taking the aforementioned into consideration, it is apparent that rape and all its forms destroys the victim of the act.
Arthur is an extraordinarily ordinary bipedal British bloke. Besides breathing and achieving other astonishingly average human feats, his prime concern is the bulldozer parked a few metres from his residence—little does he know about the disarrayed state his life is about to take on. While he is determined to stay in his house to prevent its demolition, his friend Ford Prefect convinces him to take a break and go to the pub. Over a pint, he tells Arthur about his extraterrestrial heritage.
