The American Revolution happened for many reasons, but through my studies I have realized that the most practical reason for the American Revolution is the fact that the colonists were desperate to get out from under British rule. in order to fund the fast growing british empire, a series of acts were passed, causing taxes for the colonies to rise and problems with trade grew.
