Abstract
This scientific report mainly discuss how to reduce the water scarcity in the China, and the two main reasons for water scarcity are water pollution and its uneven distribution. For this research, some information form internet and the data collected in the website are the main sources for this topic. For china’s water uneven distribution, government changes the complicated the water system to transform the water to other areas and they also establish the dam to prevent the flooding water. There is a personal hypothesis that human could explore more techniques associated with the dam, because dam can change the water direction and save the energy, and there are two graphs explaining the map of water distribution and terrestrial circumstances.

The water scarcity of China, which is triggered lots of reasons, such as natural damage, inordinate emission of human industry or other reasons, which negatively influence the water pollution, also, with the climate change, the glacier is melting dramatically, warm temperature and precipitation change natural pattern and increase the desertification(News from the earth institute). China becomes drier every year, and there are varied of products related to agriculture. Two water scarcity issues of China are that uneven distribution of the water recourse and the water pollution. China’s south to north water diversion project have caused lots of positive effects in the uneven distribution of water. As China’s population and economy have improved totally, so a plan for water is essential for China development. Today China is the country using the biggest water resources in the world(Stanford Program). For the uneven distribution of the water, in the china, southern and eastern areas are located on a natural place where possess substantial number of water, the precipitation and rainfall support their whole water resources. But the western and northern areas need to use water very carefully, the climate pattern make people suffer from the droughts and other natural disasters. Specifically, southern and northern areas have a high degree of rainfall, or more rain water, which causes the …show more content…
In the end of introduction and discussion, I have show the hypothesis that dam and more exploration of shifting energy from water can change the water original direction of water and quality of water. For my research, there are something need to be fixed, because the information and evidence from the internet is limited, which means the research will have some flaws, but some interviews and investigation in the local areas can complete the information, and make the research more effectively. My recommendation, the structure of building the water routine in the modern city also can be advocated, because the consciousness of people is increasing, which means most people can save the water as soon as possible, so, the remnant water used by people can be transported by people who lived in the pool
Do you ever feel like there is a piece of dry, and scratchy piece of sandpaper in the back of your throat from not having enough water? How would you feel if you could never stop the anoying feeling, that is constantly reminding you, that you could die from extreme thirst any day from now. The main reasons that China was driven into the intense water shortage is, their Government policies, Population increases and the most tremendous reason is the industrialization of China. One of the main reasons that is driving China's unfortunate water crisis is, China’s tremendous population growth. As China’s cities are increasing in population more of their residence are consuming their limited water supply.
Runoff, a common problem in many areas, has many causes. These causes, although sometimes avoidable, such as pollution, it can be repaired. As pollution and erosion, two of the main topics in this paper, affect the water quality, the agents aiding the processes are unstoppable. While agents are unstoppable, runoff is still controllable as far as the rate of runoff. When writing a paper such as this, the many information collected is shown in separate paragraphs, corresponding to the ideas.
When one thinks about Colorado one thinks about the mountains, wildlife, and rivers. Colorado is a beautiful state that has so much land and wildlife to offer, it’s a state that is full of peace and tranquility with all its environment that it provides for our population and tourists. However, due to population growth and climate change Colorado runs the risk of going through a water crisis. Conservation Colorado is the largest environmental nonprofit organization in Colorado. Fighting for Colorado to be able to keep its beautiful wonders intact and to prevent from suffering from a water crisis by fighting for our state to conserve its water and prevent it from suffering a water drought.
Next, there are the consequences due to the new machinery which effects the water conditions within the country. In the revolution, a negative reflection on these new ideas includes the damage to the country’s water caused by pollution. In document 6, the area was filled with “defective supplies of water, causing both a decrease in lifespan and wellbeing. Without clean water, a person can not fulfill their necessary needs to live, so this creates a major decrease in both the number of people and the water supply itself. Last, the overall atmosphere has been compromised in relation to the new evolution of products.
Has the lack of water supply affected your life in the past three years? California has been in a drought recently, and there has been a great decrease in citizen water possession. The state should regulate water usage because people are using too much water, and it is affecting other people. There have been many cases of water shortages in communities. “For Angelica Gallegos, the worst part has been going without a shower for five months.”
The water issue in California is growing every day, especially in a time of drought. However, we are thinking about the water usage in California all wrong. As stated in Michael Hiltzik ‘s article, “The Wrong Way to Think about California Water”. California 's revenue is greatly dependent on agriculture, which is the biggest water consumer. Although, this is all the media focuses on as the cause of water depletion, especially California 's almond crops.
The article,”The Wrong Way to Think about California Water” by Michael Hiltzik, touches on the way citizens think about the drought. For example, many Americans worry about the concussions of bottled water on the environment. The article, however states that people should not be worried about bottled water, because,”The entire nation consumes a bit more than 10 billion gallons of bottled water per year. California’s total water usage is 38 billion gallons per day. ”(Hiltzik).
In urban civilizations, water sources are pumped through a network of pipes into citizen’s homes. Citizens are then required to pay a premium for distribution and usage of the water. Water obtained and distributed by the
Snitow and Kaufman’s study was on the water crisis in the United states and the impacts it is making. People don’t realize this, but the water crisis has become more and more of a problem in the United States. Snitow and Kauffman give a lot of valuable information on topics such as making water private. This privatization of water is allowing for companies and corporations to take control of water rather than it being a public resource, like it is supposed to be. In the text it says, “The conservative agenda of small government, deregulation, and privatization has given big business an opening to create a private water market to replace a public service.”
The water pollution is polluting great deal of their rivers. The reason for a mass of this is “Industrial runoff, poor sewage treatment , and catch basins”(Auslin). All of this is making the water of china is deadly for people to drink and to swim in. A group did a study in 2011 that said “39 percent of china’s seven river basins were too polluted for general use, including 14 percent that were unfit even for industrial use. In 26 key lakes and reservoirs, only 42 percent of total water was deemed fit for swimming and fishing, while 8 percent was unfit even for industrial use”(Auslin).
It is true that there are factors contributing to China’s water scarcity, such as Global warming, Water pollution and Industrialization but if China does not tackle this situation now or it will spell D.A.N.G.E.R.O.U.S. However, the three biggest causes of China’s water-scarcity crisis are Global warming, Water pollution and especially Industrialization. It is up to China's government, economic and political group to fix this problem. Can they do it or can
“As the population rises, the world 's water usage will rise. Many areas of the world already suffer from a lack of fresh water,” (Population Control 3). If the world runs out of freshwater, humanity will plunge into chaos. Humanity needs water to survive, and that is a fact. Relationships between countries will be broken apart over disputes for water.
This has existed for ages and become more prominent as human population grew and population started to become more industrialized. However, the impacts could be considered as both positive and negative, all depends on the results these activities have on the environment. These impacts could be direct or indirect and there is no limit it the scale. We impact the water cycles in three major ways, namely in, water quantity, water quality, and water ecology. The building of dam for hydropower generation is one human activity that impact the water cycle.
The water cycle’s process depends on the weather and since it is constantly changing dramatically there is a risk of radical droughts and drastic rain. When water evaporates from the land and sea, it usually enters back into Earth as rain or snow however, due to temperatures increasing there is additional evaporation occurring which means we are receiving less water from the atmosphere. Droughts can not only cause drinking water to be scarce but it can also kill crops and farm animals as well as turn fertile land to desert (Woodward, 2008). In addition, rising temperatures has allowed air to store more water vapor which can lead to intense rain storms. An excess amount of water can create the risk of flooding and unfortunately, most of the water ends up drifting into rivers and streams doing little to dampen soil (“climaterealityproject.org”).
Scientist believe that it is global warming that is causing more rainfall because warmer air can hold more moisture, which leads to more precipitation. In contrast to areas around the world that are getting more floods, other areas are receiving much less rainfall than before. Since the 1970, droughts have become longer and more extreme. Droughts means that there will be less water supply for drinking, watering crops, and for generating hydropower with dams.
