Some people think spending a day in the woods is relaxing and peaceful. I used to think that as well, until I went turkey hunting. Spending a day in the woods hunting with my brothers was frustrating, hard, and aggravating all at the same time because of the mistakes I made. It was a life changing experience. Hunting will get your blood pumping and your heart racing you’ll end up wanting to go turkey hunting more than you ever thought you would.
You might think it’s a little insane to wake up at four thirty in the morning to escape into the woods, get bitten by all kinds of bugs and get filthy. But it’s what you have to do if want to hunt you need to get there before others do. And you also need to find a spot before the turkeys wake up to sit and call them with a turkey call known as a box call. But there is one downfall, you can’t shoot till the sun comes up. That’s a long wait from four thirty to six o’clock am. It was worth the wait and excitement of hunting with my two older brothers. They picked on me and teased me, but they are my brothers and that’s what they do.
My brothers told me that

As I walked back, I heard them popping them off left and right, so I went back to the first spot praying I could get one there, I sat down by the tree I shot at and put a hole in. I heard something move to my left so I looked over my left shoulder and there was nothing. I looked around me and nothing was there I was demented as I went to sit back down a tree branch fell, I looked up and for sure there was a turkey, but there were also babies up there with it so I left it alone I didn’t want to leave the babies stranded all alone. When I was finished admiring the baby turkeys. I went to the spot were Tyler took my kill. I was astonished he had hit it there were three trees that formed a triangle, maybe he was a good shot or he just got
The Argument Bow hunting is a much more challenging sport than rifle. Some people will argue that, but there is no denying it is more difficult. Bow Hunting
When gun hunting you can take shots at longer range.
“I love it and it has been a tradition in my family to hunt,” said Sydney Johnson. What some readers may not realize is that hunting is like another holiday for hunters. Many people can't wait for hunting to start. This is because they love the sport. Owen and many others hunt to manage the population of the deer and for the meat.
If the majority of hunters use a crow call use something different, like an owl hooter, pleated woodpecker. Use a boat If you have a boat, use it to drift silently along a river and call. If you get a response park the boat and get him. Turkeys never expect "danger" coming from the waterway and that makes them vulnerable to a silent hunter in a boat.
BOOM! The sound the hunter’s gun makes once he got the animal in his scope. I have hunted many animals in my life that require different aspects that lead to a successful hunt. Each of the animals need different tools and skills. Using your weapon and expertise from past experiences will greatly increase your odds of bagging that trophy animal.
Then off to the edge of the field about 100 yards away, I see a big fanned out tom. This is the best sight any turkey hunter can see, his wings are stretched down across his body almost to the point of touching the floor. Sadly he hasn't yet spotted the hens so he's gonna be extremely cautious while coming into my sight. One wrong move and he'll fly straight up and away about 300 yards and never return to the spot again. As I barely turn my head I can see he's strutting into my range with his head tucked into his saddle, his gobbles are low pitched but yet loud enough to hear about a half mile away.
In the book of the Christmas hunt by Borden Deal is a book with a very wide crossed of themes. As a lesion in the book Be patient and not go head first into the plan. In the beginning, the first couple of pages of the book Tom was yelling at his father. .For
As the days begin to shorten and the weather starts to cool, Lane and Jackson and Lane’s dog have just one thing on their mind, their annual Pamlico sound duck hunting trip. With miles upon miles of premier duck hunting habitat, Pamlico is a landmark destination for every serious North carolina duck hunter. Unfortunately, this year’s hunting foray was one marred by a frightening, yet humorous conundrum that either duck hunter will have a hard time forgetting. Following an ill-advised dinner of less than stellar chicken and dumplings from a hole-in-the-wall restaurant, Jackson wasn’t quite able to make the duo’s final morning hunt of the trip. Being the wily outdoorsman that he is, Lane wasn’t about to let his partner’s unfortunate gastric distress
The only works cited i need is my mind and memory. You can also tells a few lies when you are turkey hunting too. Just like fishing. I am gonna start with a turkey I killed the other morning. Me and a man was going to a place where he heard six one morning and we get there for about an hour and didn’t hear a
All of the stress I have had on me the past month has been weighing me down. Now when I go hunting think of where I should shoot it for a clean kill. I think what the deer brings me, like the meet, the hide, and the warmth from the hide . I praise the lord now for what he has given me. I have to fill two more tags by the end of second season of deer hunting.
After the 5 minutes me and my dad followed the blood trail down to where the deer was and sure enough the deer was laying right there in front of our eyes. It was a 6 point with a big body and it was so pretty. At this point and time me and my dad were still shaking. Of course we had to take a picture so I grabbed the deer's antlers and held them with pride. My dad was so proud of me, I was about the same age he was when he killed his first deer too.
There was silence, then… BOOM! My father and I finally shot the antelope that cost us day's of determination and perseverance. It took four days of sneaking through bushes, trees and rocks jutting into our skin, hiking around for hours trying to find herds of antelope, and consistently calling, with the intentions to find something, yet failing around every turn. This brutal hunt wasn’t for nothing though, in fact, let me introduce the story that changed my life forever. Welcome to the great antelope hunt.
Hunting requires patience, by sitting in a position for so long waiting for that animal you’re waiting for to come
Hunting creates a national economic impact of about $61 billion and has supported over seven-hundred billion jobs. Hunting also brings in about $1.4 billion in state tax revenues and $1.7 billion in federal income taxes. Hunting isn’t a cheap past time, in order to even attempt to get an animal you must first purchase a license every season. Hunting is well regulated between the federal and state governments in order to prevent over hunting. The problem that can come up is illegal hunting and poaching.
If the world today gave up hunting, wildlife would become non existent and animals would struggle to thrive due to disease and overpopulation. Outdoorsmen also gain plentiful amount of experience while hunting. They gain relationships, knowledge of the outdoors, and they maintain an old tradition and keep it alive and thriving. In the future hunting may become an even more pressing and controversial subject; however, we must do everything in our power to keep hunting alive. Hunting has a deeper meaning to some people and to take that away from them is in some ways inhumane.
