List of Disadvantages of Communism
1. It hampers personal growth.
One of the setbacks of communism is its being too controlling on the lives of the people. Since it is a classless society, everyone is equal in social status and no one is above the other. This can also be a disadvantage since people will feel they are at the end of the road because there is no room for personal improvement. In Cuba, for example, all medical professionals, medicines and hospitals are controlled by the government. The fees of these professionals are regulated by the government and they cannot demand for higher fees.
2. It dictates on the people.
In a communist society, the government has the power to dictate and run the lives of people. Although its goal is one of equality, there is basically less or no personal freedom at all to criticize the government or demand for changes. Moreover, there is no freedom of speech and whoever goes against the government can be subjected to

Communism: Communism is defined as the political and economic doctrine that aims to replace private property and a profit-based economy with public ownership and communal control of at least the major means of production and the natural resources of a society. This form of government is important because it is backed by the idea of pure equality and is known for being the highest, most advanced form of socialism. Simply put, In a Communist system, individual people do not own land, factories, or machinery. Instead, the government or the whole community owns these things. The ultimate goal of communism is to create a classless society and creating a dictatorship (A government in which one ruler has complete control over a country.) For nearly 35 years, the Cold War took place between the Soviet Union and the United States. The war was referred to as cold because there was never any physical fighting between the two countries.
Communism is different from democracy because communism doesn't allow citizens the rights of practicing religion and owning private property or businesses as the government rejects the idea of individuality between citizens. It is all different because citizens in a communist society do not have freedom of choice as all social, political, and economic decisions are dictated by the leader or party. Citizens have access to equal healthcare and education between people so that everyone has equal opportunity. Communism, however, is similar to democracy of the fact that each government wants equal say and rights for citizens, and that no citizen will be denied rights due to gender or
One of the major differences between capitalism and communism is who controls the resources. In a communist environment, the government has full control of resources; in a capitalist country, the resources’ are the owner’s responsibility. In the US “We, the people” have full ownership of our property; in North Korea, however, they have no real ownership of their property, the government owns it. America is a classed society, as most know as being the lower, middle, and upper classes for the poor, middle wealth, and rich, respectively. Since wealth is distributed somewhat equally in a communist economy, this system is nonexistent.

The theory of communism was created by Karl Marx around 1848. Communism is the theory that uses force in order to ensure that everyone is treated equally and there is no private property. “Communism doesn’t work because people like to own stuff” ("Why Communism Doesn't Work").
Communism aims to pursue international domination which is what Stalin tried to do by with the Soviet Union. However, fascist leaders have interest of those only having to do with their nation. A communist society have no social classes, and this is why private ownership of property, and land are frowned upon. On the contrary, fascism is very much class based, which was demonstrated by Hitler and his view on race superiority. These goals might seem different, but the methods used to achieve these goals are really similar.

Karl Marx in particular is especially concerned with the political assumptions behind these two ideologies. According to him, these two types of government should be replaced by communism, since communism would provide a more equal and socially just society. Although this statement may seem unusual, since we tend to associate communism with Stalin and China, the type of communism implemented in these countries is different from the communism that Marx and Engels envisaged in their Communist Manifesto. Marx and Engels’ vision of communism is based on the principle of equality among the people and freedom

While communists seeks to completly eliminate capitalists government and support the role of worker in search for equality, socialists seeks to increase public social programs than the private and advocates to reduce class structure instead.
