Reflecting upon the entirety of my academic career, I am astounded to consider the accolades bestowed upon me, some of which include ACT Plan Scholar, AP Scholar with Distinction, Socastee Junior Marshal and Scholars Academy Distinguished Junior, Erskine Fellow, Coker Scholar, Wofford Scholar, Presbyterian College Fellow, and a member of Phi Eta Sigma at Coastal Carolina University. Current club involvement includes the Scholars Academy chapter of the National Honor Society, engaging in various community service opportunities and school functions such as ice cream sales, open mic nights, and more; also a member of the Scholars Academy mathematics club and technology club, participating in mathematics competitions, technology fairs, and Rubik’s Cube solving

As the digital signage manager at Scholars Academy, I manage the announcements and other information on the televisions located throughout the school. My Christian values are very important to me: I have ministered to elementary schoolers as a puppeteer at Vacation Bible School at my local church, I have been a committed member of Bible Study Fellowship for over a decade, and I support the worship service at my church through keyboarding alongside the band every Sunday morning. I consider music to be my overarching special talent: I am an electronic dance music producer named “c0nvexity;” I can play multiple instruments such as the piano, the guitar, the saxophone, and the clarinet; and I have played the baritone saxophone in the Socastee High School marching band through the entirety of my high school education. Overall, I have expressed characteristics of commitment, determination, compassion, and responsibility, and I will continue to convey these traits as I transition into
Another accomplishment of Jeicy’s is getting into the National Society of High School Scholars, and the Hazleton Junior Leadership program. For NSHSS, she didn’t have to do anything but maintain good grades. A letter came in the mail one day with an invitation code. To accept the invitation, all she had to do was
Outside of her active participation as a Kappa alumna, Betty was a teacher, served as a church organist, chaired a large antique show, owned a floral design business and led the Washington National Cathedral’s Altar Guild. As a new member of Delta Rho in 1957, Betty and the members of her new member class were always reminded of the lifelong friendships and associations they would make as collegians as well as alumnae. In the years since, Betty has found this to be very true and she is forever grateful for the lasting ideals afforded her because of her Kappa
During my time at NTH@C, I experienced an extraordinary growth physically and mentally. Putting over 40+ hours into community service, spending 10+ hours job shadowing, and 15+ hours interning. After, putting an immense amount time in my academic pursuit I managed to join the National Society of High School Scholars.
To be a successful, it is essential to show all five pillars of National Junior Honor Society. I believe that I represent these elements and can fulfill the requirements of the organization. As a consistent straight-A student, I demonstrate the ability to complete assignments responsibly with a persistent growth mindset. To be scholarly, I focus during tasks while managing my limited time.
It is an extraordinary honor to be considered as a candidate for the National Honor Society. Being considered means I have achieved my goal in demonstrating my determination- in school and outside of school- and my willingness to aid people in my community. Being a part of such a prestigious organization is an enormous responsibility to which I will fully devote my time. Ever since I was a freshman, my goal was to work diligently to be among the highest scholars and to be accepted into this scholarly “hall of fame”. Through my relentless hard work and perseverance, I believe that I possess the four characteristics of a National Honor Society member- leadership, service, character, and scholarship.
"The bane of my existence, the nightmare that will not end, the thing that has practically driven me to insanity,"these are the phrases I used to describe the college essay. I had never been in a situation so stressful that I wanted to just sit in a corner and scream into an abyss, as I rapidly flipped my lips up and down with my finger. This is coming from a person who has lived in unstable homes throughout their childhood and lived in a toxic environment in their teenage years. The first time I finished writing an essay; I thought I had written a masterpiece, the cream of the crop, one of the best essays of all time even. I'll admit I shouldn't have put so much confidence in my paper, but I was proud of my work.
As Junior year comes to an end I am positive that my learning experiences and my growth as an individual will help me with what Senior year has to offer. Among the ESLRS, two that I identify and that I have mastered are: write efficiently across the curriculum and apply skills and knowledge. I have written efficiently across the curriculum in my AP English Language class, when having to write essays in a precise amount of time. These time write essays accumulated as a resource of how writing an essay in the AP exam would be. Each essay was practice in writing a full essay and writing down our main thoughts and ideas.
I’ve been rewarded for these struggles I’ve made myself in physical, thoughtful, and infinitely complex interpersonal ways. My patience for keeping my idealism strong during my childhood years has educationally rewarded me with a trip to Springfield with my state-worthy Walgreens history fair project in 2014. Standing there in the jumbo ballroom with my exhibit blazoned with the endless rows of others’ journeys speak an experience that an individual simply cannot forget. Perhaps the lone education award I graciously received and inked by the President of the United States at my 8th grade awards ceremony is a proper reward to make a worthwhile experience. Maybe even the title I’ve held for the Big Shoulders Beeson scholarship since 6th grade unveiled something special even I had not realized, as I believed at the time skepticism was warranted when my young self heard of the scholarship’s benefits.
For my Silver Award project, I am connecting with the Explore and Splash girl scout day camp to design the program activities for girls ages five to eighteen to come learn about arts and theater, through doing crafts, activities, playing games, singing songs, and performing skits and shows. The community issue that my project is focusing on is that there is a lack of interest in arts and theater. With this project, I hope that people have more interest in art and theater, think about it, and go to plays instead of just going and watching movies. My goals for the project are to inform girls about the art and theater programs, and have them play games, do crafts, and activities, about art and theater.
(MIP) I believe that English honors (9H) will be a suitable level for me. (SIP-1) I would like to have the opportunity to take a risk and pursue my favorite subject, English. (STEWE-1) As seen, over this year I have grown academically.
Ethos the guiding beliefs of a person, belief, or organization Found Example They are working to keep a democratic ethos alive in the community. (Merriam-Webster) Original Example The tribe set up their ethos early on in their settlement. Pathos A quality that causes people to feel sympathy and sadness Found Example There is pathos to the deflated certainties that left the Washington lawyer Leonard Garment weeping, inconsolable, outside the Senate chamber as the debate was ended.
I am currently in my third year of undergraduate study at Clayton State University. I am studying to obtain a B.A. in Music Education. Due to my aspiration to become a teacher, I have ample experience in working with people of all backgrounds to achieve a common goal. Through tutoring, I have gained experience in working with children and adults alike to solve problems and introduce helpful resources. I have also gained experienced in performing excellent customer service through working in fast food and catering environments.
Lee-Vang. Session1.Journal For a while I contemplated returning to school, but I always found excuses for myself to not do so. The thought of returning to school was always on my mind, but I kept putting it off until I heard about the scholarship for Colorado Christian University on KLOVE for the 100th time. I had many doubts about going back to school, but there is one event that took place that influenced my decision to return to school and will influence my academic work and goals at Colorado Christian University as well.
I have chosen to apply to St. Louis in Madrid, Spain as my first choice because my sister recommended it after she studied abroad in Spain absolutely fell in love with the country and its culture. She studied at the University of Deusto in Bilbao, Spain. I believe Spain is the best location for me to further broaden my cultural diversity. I am from Morocco and with Spain being so close to us I have always thought about visiting and I feel as though this is the perfect opportunity to not only visit the country but also get the educational experience along with it. The best part about being at the University of Richmond is getting this opportunity of a lifetime to study in another country.
Aristotle once said “The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance”. Personally, music has been a part of my life for the majority of my existence. I have participated in the music programs at my local schools throughout the entirety of my education thus far and I plan to expand my knowledge in the following years at university. Much like many other students, music has become such a vital part of my life; I plan on continuing my musical passion for the years to come. Throughout my years in music, I have also experienced threats from the school district, the state, and even the nation to take away the funding for music programs in public schools.
