Concealed Protection
A concealed handguns can be a tool for the public’s protection. Concealed handguns should be legal in all 50 states because the Second Amendment guarantees it. Most concealed handgun owners are law abiding citizens and it can be used for protection from harm.
A U.S. citizen should be given the legal right to protect themselves and others. The 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution states “...nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction to the equal protection of the laws.” What this is saying is that no state would be allowed to deny the privileges to the citizens. That implies to owning a concealed permit and gun.
The Second Amendment says “A well regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free State,

Did they pass the required safety courses? Do they fit in a category that will have them disqualified? This process needs to happen for anyone who is applying for a concealed carry permit.
Not only can a concealed handgun protect you but it can protect the general public. There have been cases where a concealed gun has saved lives other than their owns. Colorado Springs have had cases like that.
In Colorado Springs, a man went crazy and killed four people before entering a church. A volunteer security guard, who was carrying a concealed carry permit and a licensed gun shot the man before he could kill any more people. The security guard saved more than 100 lives.
There have been three school shootings that have been stopped because a responsible adult had a firearm(David B. Kopel). Mass killers have a tendency to surrender themselves at the first sign of resistance.
If there are no police in the area or the response call takes to long, a gun can be used to protect yourself. By the time the police are called, the attacker will have left the scene. The majority of calls happen when the crime has been committed and the criminal has left the scene. By then, there is no need for an immediate response(Richard W. Stevens). A gun could be used to protect yourself and/or stop the fleeing
The Second Amendment to the United States Constitution protects the right of the individual to keep and bear firearms. When the Second Amendment was written it was for the right to arm oneself as a personal liberty to deter undemocratic or oppressive governing bodies from forming and to repel impending invasions. Furthermore, gun advocates proclaim that guns are for the right to self-defense. Some people try to participate and uphold the law. We have seen how guns in the hands of children can cause fatal accidents and people have committed mindless crimes leading to
Concealed guns are allowing the public to overcome the dangers in the world, but they are also a danger in many ways. These dangers have lead to many horrific accidents in our present time. These incidents are also causing more people around the world to join in on these events. Concealed guns should be banned because by permitting handguns, it can end up causing more crimes, dangerous people are more likely to carry a gun and endanger the public, and guns can make the public paranoid.
The topic of gun control and firearm regulation has been subject to heated debate for a long while. Both sides have potent arguments, however the core of this issue ultimately boils down to the constitution itself. More specifically the second amendment. This argument quickly becomes quite complicated because gun control and firearm regulation concerns not only the right of citizens, but more importantly the safety of citizens. The second amendment helps to guarantee an imperative right belonging to all citizens.
According to John R. Lott Jr., PhD. “When states passed concealed carry laws during the 19 years we studied (from 1977 to 1995) the number of multiple- victim public shootings declined by 84%. Deaths from these shootings plummeted on average by 90% and injuries by 82%. In fact FBI crime data by economist and political commentator John R. Lott Jr, calculated that 1,570 murders, 4,177 rapes, 60,000 aggravated assaults, and 12,000 robberies could have been prevented between 1977 and 1992 if concealed carry could have been legal in every US state during that time period,”(ProCon.org). This proves that, by passing concealed carry laws, the percentage of crime has decreased ,and states have become safer due to restrictions but still allowing people to protect
Self-defense is key to survival in the day that we are living. The concealed carry law allows any person from the age of twenty-one years of age or older to carry a firearm, if they have a permit to carry that firearm. The law was passed so that you could legally carry a firearm in public to protect yourself. It is called the Second Amendment. There is two sides to this argument some people believe you should be able to carry a handgun on your hip in public.
In his article he said that “Concealed carry the attacker wouldn’t know that you had a gun”(Stockton) Here we see Mr. Stockton for concealed carry instead of open carry. Again Mr. Stockton supports concealed carry by saying “Carrying concealed keeps people at rest”(Stockton)Here we see Mr. Stockton support the idea of concealed carry because it keeps people relaxed because they do not know if you have a firearm or not. But also in the article he says “Open carry Seeing someone with a gun might stop the attacker before they do anything”(Stockton)Here it proves open carry may have a psychological effect on the possible outcome of a person about to rob a store or a bank for example. So now that we have seen what the pros to open carry like in my first point, and the more neutral side where it looks at both sides for a clearer answer, let’s look at an article where people believe that open carry should not be
Now that's progress right there, providing protection for every american is what america is about, home of the BRAVE! Think about it, nearly 8000 of our dear friends have died between 1992 and 1996. People who die because of a homicide, are abusing their right to have a concealed carry weapon. 68% of americans feel more safer with a firearm or by one. Since 2007, gun permits, soared from 4.6 million to 12.8 million.
For violent crimes (assault, robbery and rape) guns were used 0.83% of the time in self-defense. In 20% of the self defense incidents, the guns were used by police
Non supporters of concealed carry on campus have great counter arguments for the pro-gun supporters. Someone carrying a weapon can be easily disarmed. A weapon can go off accidentally through negligent discharge. According to ConcealedCampus.org, “Among the more than 150 college campuses that currently allow concealed carry, there have been three accidental/negligent discharges—two by faculty/staff and one by a student. Two of the negligent discharges were the result of the license holder carrying the gun in a pants pocket without a holster (both of these incidents resulted in non-life-threatening injuries to the license holder’s leg), and one was the result of the license holder showing a new gun—a gun with which she was not yet familiar—to her coworkers (this incident resulted in only minor abrasions that did not require medical attention)”.
Gun control problems Nowadays, we can hear the crimes related to guns from time to time, and each of them is scarified and influential. For example, the accident happened in Sandy Hook Elementary School leads to 20 deaths for primacy school students and 6 deaths for staffs. It is hard to imagine what degree of sadness in their family may suffer. In this way, many people think the government should have stronger gun control regulations.
In contrast, Opponents believe that arms should have regulations because they cause violence, such as mass shootings and murder. Despite the differences on each side, the second amendment aids in the protection of all individual rights of the people to keep and bear arms for self-defense when necessary. As a result, the definition of the right to bear arms has to be provided. The second amendment is quite a chicanery clause to understand, the first part of the clause states “ a well-regulated militia.” “Well regulated…” was defined in the eighteenth century, as properly but not overly regulated (Roleff 69).
The Second Amendment says, “A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a Free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” Gun rights has become the subject of intense political, social, and cultural battles for much of the last century. The pro-gun right side has asserted that the right to arms was absolute, and that any gun control laws infringed that right (Kopel, 2013). This right has been supported by the Supreme Court who has reinforced what has become the American consensus that the Second Amendment allows the right to keep and bear arms, especially for self-defense, and that it is a fundamental individual
so people can feel more protected. As Well as giving people the protection that need if other resources are not available to them at that time that they need it. Next, concealed weapons give people a sense of awareness after taking a class on how to use their weapon. Finally, carrying a concealed weapon can decrease many risks that we have in day to day life. The “concealed carry lifestyle” should not be just pushed by gun manufacturers, but instead should be pushed by some organizations that support it.
According to the Second Amendment, “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” The Second Amendment specifically states that “the right of the people to keep
A few years ago, a student named Amanda Carpenter attended the University of Nevada at Reno. She was walking to her car from class when she was attacked and raped. This student felt as if she had been allowed to carry a concealed gun, she probably would not have gotten raped that night (Wiseman, 2012). There are many misconceptions about carrying a concealed gun, everyone is not criminals, and everyone will not commit a crime. A thorough background check, training, and the passing of a test should qualify people the right to carry a concealed gun everywhere.
