Andrea Yates crime moved the United States in an astonishing way. This crime impacted both the officers and the families all around the United States due to the horrendous Crime Andrea committed. Andre killed her 5 children including her precious baby girl. What most the the American public ask themselves was, what lead her to kill her children and how can we stop it for ever happening to a family again. Throw Andre´s last three pregnancies Andrea suffered many misfortunes such as the death of her father and a miss carriage. This two events cause Andrea grife which could have worsened her already struggling brain. After Andrea´s 4 son her biological factors kicked in. Her symptoms got worst and she started to hallucinate. Andrea got Postpartum Psychosis, a condition that happens to 1/1000 women who have kids. She started to hear voices and the hormones produced by her body made her crazy. Between her 4 and 5th child she was prescribed pills and her condition got better, but her irregularity with her treatment also worsen her biological and psychological state making her body resistant to the treatment and worsening her psychological reaction. When she got pregnant with her last baby she left the pill completely leading to a complete comeback of her symptoms after the baby's birth. Andrea started to imagine things again but now it was worst. Because of her resistance to her treatment and her mind playing tricks with her she started to think two things , 1) if she drowned her children they would go to heaven and 2) She was possessed by Satan himself which is a medical condition called Cacodemonomania. The trial of Casey Anthony was one that struck the nation in a very emotional manner. The trial was on TV for months before anyone could come out with any real answers, and even then, they weren’t the answers they were looking for, and half of them were made up. In the end the jury decided to find her not guilty, while everyone else’s opinion was that she was a cold blooded killer. Unfortunately the proper evidence just wasn’t there in the end to convict her for the first degree murder of her 2 year old daughter Caylee. This being said, if I was on the jury I would definitely have found her guilty because of the, in my opinion, extremely odd behavior that came from Casey during the entire process.
