National Honor Society is a great opportunity for everyone including myself. It has standards such as scholarship, leadership, character, and service. To maintain the standards I already have most of the standards I am a smart student with a 4.0 GPA, I have great leadership and character. The only thing missing is service. I do, do service but not as much. I don’t have many opportunities to help out and volunteer. Maybe joining NJHS can help fulfill that opportunity. I am a very outgoing person and I love talking to people, when you first meet me, I can be shy but once you get to know me you won’t know the girl you first met. I love being interacted and helping others. If someone is in trouble I try my best to help them out. I have a lot of energy and a positive attitude, always looking at the brighter side. I am very good with directions, given an order I try my best to complete …show more content…
Some ideas such as raise funds and awareness for the less fortunate, hospital volunteer, the idea of having members be a big brother or big sister to fellow students who doesn’t have the opportunity of a sibling relationship, aiding elders, and etc. Fulfilling the service hours each semester is going to be a challenge but I can accomplish it. In order to complete the hours I will find places that I am fit in for the help. I will make room on the weekend to finish all the hours. Some places I have in mind to help me complete the hours are volunteering at the children’s hospital, animal clinic, and going to the library and help out there. In conclusion, I’d be honor to be able to be in NJHS because I love to help people out and I think it would be a great opportunity for me because it can teach me new things and get me more interact with the world. It would show me why it is so important to do community service and know that you are making an impact in someones and my
As a student with many qualities, I believe that I should be in the NJHS. Many of the traits that I have as an individual would benefit the standards that the NJHS expects. For instance, I am dedicated, diligent, responsible, and a strong leader. One trait I show off daily is my dedication for school. My priorities are set on getting good grades and working hard on my school work.
In fact, it’s one of the reasons I decided to apply for NJHS in the first place. Whenever an opportunity to volunteer arises,
My character traits help me to gain the trust and respect of my peers as they believe me to be extremely creative and a dependable person. I have great problem-solving skills; I tend to think outside the box and I have
What I see as the function of the National Honor Society is to encourage young adults like myself to participate more within their school and community. It allows students the ability to give and serve other people that have done so for them. This group will give many students an eye opening experience on volunteering for fellow citizens. If I were to be selected into the National Honor Society, I would contribute to the group by sharing ideas and giving useful feedback to the other students in the group. I would also provide personal experiences of certain voluntary services that I have completed, if needed.
Being in JHS gives you a chance to make the school environment better by letting us hang signs around the school and having us do activities with our
I am an active member in our community. I volunteer every month, at least once a month. One of the organizations that I volunteer at is Spoonful of Hope. This organization dedicated to feeding those who were, and still are feeling the effects of hurricane Sandy. They also give food to those who are hungry and in need of a decent meal in our community.
I am extremely honored to be eligible for this opportunity to apply for the National Honor Society. Becoming a member of the National Honor Society has been a goal I set for myself since I was a student in middle school. I have been greatly looking forward to this moment for a very long time. Overall, I have worked incredibly hard these last two years to display a positive character and obtain qualities such as leadership, responsibility, and scholarship. I strongly believe I will be a productive and reliable member of the National Honor Society at Harvard H. Ellis Technical High School.
Every week I spend time at the Morristown Medical Center as a volunteer, where I am able to help keep things functioning in the hospital at the highest speed possible and hopefully brighten a few patients’ days. Also, I’ve enjoyed helping refereeing youth basketball games for the past two seasons and being able to talk with the kids. It is a great opportunity to give back to a program which gave me so much in the five years I played in it when I was younger. Furthermore, I am excited for even more opportunities to have an impact on my community which being a part of National Honor Society would aid in.
It is a great honor to be nominated as a member of the National Honor Society. There are many reasons why I want to take part in NHS. One reason why I want to be in it is to continue to grow academically with people who have the same goals as me. I want to be encouraged, not discouraged by the people around me. If I get into NHS, it will give me a lot of opportunities to be a leader.
It is an extraordinary honor to be considered as a candidate for the National Honor Society. Being considered means I have achieved my goal in demonstrating my determination- in school and outside of school- and my willingness to aid people in my community. Being a part of such a prestigious organization is an enormous responsibility to which I will fully devote my time. Ever since I was a freshman, my goal was to work diligently to be among the highest scholars and to be accepted into this scholarly “hall of fame”. Through my relentless hard work and perseverance, I believe that I possess the four characteristics of a National Honor Society member- leadership, service, character, and scholarship.
National Junior Honor Society is the start of everything. This group helps set me up for my years to come. Being in the NJHS it helps me get into the one in high school, which looks really good one college applications. Having national junior honor society for both middle school and high school would give me a better chance to get into a college I really want to get into. I’ve always wanted to be someone who could help or make a change in this world, instead of just trying to get through life easy.
The National Honor Society is built upon four founding principles: Scholarship, Character, Leadership, and Service. I have a high school life filled with dedication to these four principles on the Spiritual standpoint, the Familial level, the Community level and finally at the National level. Moreover, I did begin my dedication to these same four principles even before this starting with the Boy Scouts of America and this commitment will continue along with having a rich future when I reach my fullest potential. I firmly believe that to have academic excellence is giving your best effort to maintain not just having straight As and a high GPA at or close to the edge of attaining a 4.0, but to also have the skills that help you perform your very best in college and beyond. To recap, it is having a well-rounded education with just the right academics and activities best suited to your
National Honor society was established to recognize outstanding high school students. National Honor society recognizes students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of academic success, leadership, character and service. I should be in National Honor Society because I think I represent a lot of the qualities needed to be in this organization. Throughout my years in high school, I have been very involved in the band program here at Langham Creek. As a freshman, I started out in Concert 2 band.
The skills I can bring to the table as well as the experience I can gain from this experience allure me to be a part of this awesome initiative. I enjoy being active in my school
Donating your time is just a small way to show that you are concerned, sincere, and that you care. I frequently volunteer with my church; New Destiny International for one of our many outreach programs called “Feed the 5,000”. We provide numerous
