Im assuming that no one in here will ever go out and commit a violent crime involving a firearm. However i cant guarantee that some people we are around everyday will not be involved in a violent crime. I'd like to tell you today why gun control should not be put into large scale effect . I'd like to bring up the number of violent crimes involving firearms in the united states in the year of 2013 before the bulk of the gun control movement had started (refer to chart). IN the year 2013 there were 16,121 homicides nation wide and out of that number 11,208 of them were caused by a firearm of those deaths approximately 750 of the murders were committed with an illegally owned firearm which shows that you do not have to be a felon that is unable to possess a firearm in order to take someones life with one.

My fellow citizens, Coming into this new year, I am working arduously into seeking more change in America, in the next few months we will be addressing enormous problems by establishing some new laws I have in mind. In the time being, many families are mourning and seeking for light in this dark world, my condolences to all of you. As you’ve been hearing in the news, 17 lives in Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School were taken away by a former student. This tragic has brought to my highest attention that guns are being violated and used in the worst possible way. The availability of guns have been seen to increase the risk of lethal violence and endangering numerous of lives, making this environment unsafe.

30,000 lives are ended with guns, this doesn’t include the families and friends affected by such occurrences. There has been a rise in the death toll of mass shootings and the frequency of them, the deadliest only occurred last year. In 2018, there have been twenty nine mass shootings alone (Gun Violence Archive). The safety of all Americans are called into jeopardy, so the paramount question is, to what extent should the distribution and utilization of guns be regulated by the government? Gun control and gun rights have become such a hot topic throughout the United States that people are beginning to question if the fault of such violence actually lies with guns. This isn’t the issue, the problem is that the US government is incapable of passing gun legislation, social media blames mental illness for mass shootings, and gun policies aren’t strict enough on selling guns. The only danger in having a gun is when it is put in the hands of the wrong person. Due to strong opposing ideals between both the Republican and Democratic Party within the house and senate, the American government has been incapable of passing adequate gun legislation.

Secondly,most people even if they can not get a gun they will easily just steal it. Banning guns will not do anything except make people steal more to get a gun which will just cause more problems. Also making stricter gun laws will also include police officers which will give them a disadvantage if they have no gun or have new rules while using the weapon.

Since the LA shooting, many American's have cried, many Americans have prayed for the victims, but not many Americans realized what the causation of this and other 300 mass shootings is. People frequently ask themselves whether guns are really beneficial, and how are people able to buy so many guns at once. According to James Q Wilson, Gun Controls laws are vague and ineffective but the reason for this is fairly simple. I blame America ineffectiveness on America's second amendment. This law empowers any American citizen to possess a firearm thus, people who have psychological deficiencies can buy a gun as easy as you.

In 2017 alone, approximately 16,000 people were killed by firearms in the United States, a three percent increase from last year (Wolf). Gun control in the United States has been an issue for many years regarding the most logical way to make guns less of the threat to civilians. Many argue for a complete ban on any and all guns while many others believe in stricter regulations and background checks to ensure only those who should have a gun can get one. The issue of gun control in the United States should be addressed in a way that will actually see change as well as keep people safe. While gun control has little noticeable benefits, there are some points to mention.

Society has argued for years on an effective solution to help stop the killings that happen with guns frequently. Gun control laws have been effective, but more progress can be made to lower the killing rate of not only Americans but also all humans across the world. Lawmakers from each country need to stand together and find a reasonable way to increase gun control, which will help ensure a higher rate of safety for each individual.

During Early America, our Founding Fathers declared that each man in America is entitled to a set of rights to protect themselves and from the government. The 1st and 2nd amendments guarantee each American is entitled to The Right to Bear Arms by “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. " I 've come here before today to ask you here today if you feel you are in danger of the gov’t. I 've got a proposition for you young Americans; if you are in danger of the gov’t and are obliged to fall into submission of their so called corrupt ways stand up and make a difference and stand for a new change in the American way of life.

I do agree that some people shouldn't be able to own a gun but having more gun laws wouldn't work because people that need guns couldn't buy them as easily. Having a gun could provide protection as well as safety. Guns

There is a percentage of the population in the United States that believes that all firearms should have harsher laws, and some people even want to see firearms completely banned. one thursday morning a guy walked in a school and killed 13 kids for no reason. this has lead to an ongoing argument about whether the less gun control is needed. even tho there has been tragedies stricter gun control will not help with anything. the first reason we don't need more gun laws is that people who legally have gun need them. some people need guns for protection.
