A strategic goal related to this principle is to standardize work flow processes supported by technology. Human resources could be used to provide an avenue for process improvement ideas to be received from the staff and explored. Another strategic goal related to this principle is to change the existing electronic medical records system. This project will take years to accomplish with different settings implementing the new program sequentially starting with physicians’ clinics. The mission statement of any healthcare organization must relay the true purpose. Hofstrand (2009) suggested that a statement of mission is a universal announcement of how your vision will be achieved. The vision and the mission are directly connected. Both need to be simple and easy to appreciate and remember. The focus of the company would be on all the patients and the mission statement would look something like that: “New Mexico Essential Healthcare is a non-profit organization that operates throughout the state.

An organization’s mission statement refers to a brief description of the organization’s purpose. The mission statement articulates to the organizations purpose to the public (Ward, 2005). West TN Healthcare’s mission statement does meet the criteria set forth as a viable mission statement.
The changing climate as a result of the advent of value-based care continues to place significant demands on hospitals, medical providers, healthcare organizations, and physicians to take a completely new look at the marketing strategy. Some people can argue that the vision and mission sound alike and in fact the mission typically describes what the organization does to achieve its vision (Reference). I surprisingly was shocked that I too expressed Catasys’s
