Aileen was born February 29th, 1956, in Rochester, Michigan and was instantly born into a devastating life. Her mother and father had a toxic relationship that was not even attempted to be withheld from their children. Her father had been in the army previously, and went in only to avoid going to prison. Her mother instantly did not want her and never would reclaim her, and 10 years later, her father would be arrested for the rape of a 7 year old girl. And then in 1969, he hung himself in jail. She would never meet her father. Aileen and her brother were adopted by their grandfather and grandmother. Her grandfather was an alcoholic. Aileen murdered Mallory, shooting him four times with a .22 handgun. She would steal the car and then go back to her girlfriends. She right then and there confessed to her, and Tyria would not believe her. Then they packed up all their things, and drove off in the stolen car. Aileen had somewhat thought this process through, because she had dumped what was in the car at one place, then the car at another place, and left the body in the original location. Aileen would not act like this for the next 6 months, but then strike quickly again and murder and rob three more men. Those men were David Speers, Charles Carskaddon, and Peter Simms. She either would kill them after they were involved in a transaction, or she would pose as a motorist in distress, and if someone offered to help her, then she would kill them. The police couldnt even identify that it was one killer, and it was thus that they couldnt figure her out at first. The fact that she was a woman, and also that she left the body farther away from the car made it a challenge for
Aileen Wuornos was an American serial killer who murdered several men between 1989 and 1990, leaving their bodies along highways in Northern and Central Florida. In 1992, she plead guilty to the murder of six men, and received the death penalty for each plea. Although much speculation surrounded her mental stability, she was eventually executed in 2002, making her the tenth woman executed in the United States, and the second in Florida, since the death penalty was reinstated in 1977. The first murder Wuornos committed was that of Richard Mallory, a 51-year-old electronics shop owner.
Aileen blamed herself for that death and found herself having many run-ins with the police. At eighteen, Aileen was arrested in Colorado, for a DUI, disorderly conduct and firing a .22-caliber pistol from a moving vehicle (?). In 1976, shortly after her marriage fell apart, she was arrested in Michigan for assault and disturbing the peace after she had thrown a cue ball at a bartender’s head (?). At twenty-six she was arrested in Florida for armed robbery, after robbing a convenience store for thirty-five dollars and two packs of cigarettes (?). She was sentenced to three years in prison and was released in 1983 (?).
At the age of 11, Aileen was trading sexual favors with anyone that could get her beer, cigarettes, or money. At 14, Aileen fell pregnant with a friend of her grandfather, and as soon as the baby was born they were put up for adoption not even a year later Aileen was thrown out of the house and started to work as a hitchhiker prostitute.

The debate over Aileen Wuornos’ jurisdiction is one that is still open due to how controversial the case is. A serial killer can best be described as a person who commits a series or murders, often with no apparent motive and typically following a characteristic, predictable behavior pattern. A disturbing fact about serial killers is that most of them should be eminently identifiable. Serial killers commit their acts specifically in one place, therefore, give the residents of the community, its police force, and even their neighbors ample opportunity to find out what they are. The fact they are not caught is attributed to three factors. The first being the characteristics of the victims, which in Jeffrey Dahmer's case he prayed mostly on gay men.
One of America’s most infamous serial killers – Jeffrey Dahmer – was an active threat during the late 1980s. His 17 victims were typically African American gay men, who Dahmer picked up repeatedly in front of gay bars. His actions were obviously repulsive, yet people still formed separate perspectives surrounding this man. Although Jeffrey Dahmer was a known serial killer, the perspective of his parents, the opinion of the public eye, and Dahmer’s own view of himself vary wildly.
