John Adams Major Accomplishments

Achievements John Adams has had many achievements in his life. One of his many achievements is when he successfully defended British soldiers involved in the Boston Massacre. John Adams had graduated from Harvard in 1755 . He had started practising law 1758. One of his most famous cases was related to the Boston Massacre.

The history of the United States was heavily influenced by several bright and intelligent individuals. One of these people were Thomas Jefferson. In elementary school, you probably don’t learn much about him, but once you get to middle and high school your teachers will get into more depth about who he was and what he did to make America a better place to live in. Once you get to know more and more about him the story of his life begins to unfold, and you begin to see the side of him that most don’t know about. Most people know him as the writer of The Declaration of Independence, the 3rd President of the United States and a founding father.

On March 5, 1770 a street fight occurred between a mob of Boston citizens and British soldiers. The soldiers were increasingly unwelcome in Boston so the citizens threw snowballs, stones, and sticks at the group of soldiers who had been stationed here- the soldiers retaliated. The citizens were very outnumbered and the fight resulted in five deaths and six injuries from Boston. Samuel Adams and the Sons of Liberty named this event the Boston Massacre. The morning after, John Adams was sitting in his law office when Paul Revere revealed an engraving that showed Thomas Preston (captain of the British soldiers) ordering troops to fire at point blank range on the citizens.

He is one of only two men who signed three of the most important documents is the creation of America: the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. Being a chairman of the Continental Congress’s Finance Committee, he was trusted with traded with foreign countries, and handling the country’s finances. His knowledge of money management helped him save the country from financial crisis a few times. This title, however, also earned him many enemies because other jealous individuals felt he was only doing it go gain money and not from his loyalty to his nation. He loved his country and always remained extremely loyal to it.

In this paper, I will discuss the majority of all the wonderful things John Adams have accomplished in his life and all things he has done so we can gain our freedom. John Adams helped the colonist fight for their right to independence. He persuaded Thomas Jefferson to write The Declaration of Independence. Adams also was the United States ambassador, he participated in The Treaty of Paris which helped end the Revolutionary war, and was a part of the stamp act.

Richard Henry Lee and John Adams had the same idea, that's why on June 7, 1776, Adams seconded Richard Henry Lee's resolution of independence. Congress then assigned the job of writing the Declaration of Independence to John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, Robert R. Livingston and Roger

I believe that it was through his leadership skills and ideas that helped free the colonists from the Britain. Even John Adams acknowledged the importance of Samuel Adams in the American Revolution. He once wrote that; without the characters of Samuel Adams, the true history of American Revolution would have never been written. The three events that Samuel pioneered, that is; the repeal of the stamp act, the tea party and the declaration of independence are still very relevant today. These events paved the way to the formation of the nation of the United States of America(Alexander, 2011).

He defended Loyalists after the American Revolution. Using what he had learned, he had his clients acquitted in court. Besides using his law practice, he wrote the Articles of Confederation. He was the oldest and wisest leader that contributed to the Constitution. He was a jack of many trades being he was a scientist,printer,inventor,politician, and diplomat. In 1754 when several representatives from the colonies gathered in Albany, New York to better their relationship with the neighboring Iroquois and come up with a plan for defense. He came up with the Albany Plan of Union for a common government. It was rejected but his plan ended up being the model of the Articles of Confederation which lead to the writing of the Constitution.

He also partnered with Alexander Hamilton to write the Federalist papers. He had many accomplishments such as: directing The Philadelphia Convention towards forming a new constitution, drafting the influential Virginia plan, contributing to the Federalist papers, drafting the Constitution, drafting The Bill of Rights, co-founding the Democratic-Republican party, served as a U.S secretary, served as the fourth president of The United states, led the nation through the brutal War of 1812, and The final years of his presidency saw unprecedented prosperity

These attributes led him to want to make an impact and build a respectable reputation in early America. He was mentored under George Washington during the revolutionary war and was a major contributor to the writing and development of the Constitution. He was also one of the authors of the Federalists papers and wanted

Benjamin Franklin was born in Boston in 1706. In 1723 he moved to Philadelphia where he was a publisher of The Pennsylvania Gazette, which was most famous for its Poor Richard’s Almanac. He had a wife, Deborah Read, and two children, one boy one girl. This however did not prevent him from having many other children with nameless mistresses out-of-wedlock. He was also a renowned drunk.

John Adams John Adams is the one of the most interesting person in the Revolutionary War. He had a huge impact on the Revolutionary War. He helped make the Declaration of Independence. In 1774 he served in the first continental congress. He was the first vice president of the United States and the second president.

So how was a major figure in the American Revolution? Well, in the events that led to the Revolution he took a major stance, most famously in his criticism of George III after the Stamp Act got approved.   He opposed the prices forced by the Townshend Acts and the British attempt to collect them by using the Royal Navy

People such as John F. Kennedy, Abraham Lincoln, John Adams, George Washington, and etc. were remembered and are prominent in parts of individuals’ daily lives. But a person like John Hancock, a limited amount of the population in the Unites States knows about him. Even though he is not remembered, John Hancock is one of the founding fathers and played a pivotal role that changed the fate of our nation.
