MLK: A Black Activist

For Justice and For Freedom of All MLK is one of the many well known to us, he is celebrated on MLK day, loved, respected, accomplished, committed to his cause, and is the man who made coed black woman and children, and white men and children exist today. In 1968 MLK was imprisoned in a Birmingham Jail and in his letter. He used many rhetorical devices to get his point across. He will defend his actions and criticize white citizen’s inactions in order to establish his legitimacy as a civil rights leader. One of the many rhetorical devices that MLK used is his choice of words.

He got the chance to escape at 20 years old and he became a “world-renowned anti-slavery activist”. For 16 years he edited an influential black newspaper and achieved international fame as an inspiring and persuasive speaker and writer. His autobiographies are considered important works. Giving many speeches and influential writings he became an inspiring and persuasive speaker and writer. He made slavery and racism a crime, provided an powerful voice of hope for his people, embraced antislavery politics and preached his own brand of American ideals.

The civil rights leaders used the “trickster hero” tactics by using the silence to be powerful. They used their silence to make it peaceful and they gainsay to fighting back because of their reputaion. In the parts of selma when they protested like for example bloody sunday it was always a silent protest. Even though the police were violent and injustice with them they never fought back, because they knew if they did it would show how the whites thought about them which was racial as thought of a bondage.

This quote means that you have to work to make change and change does not come overnight. Through all of the work that MLK did with the civil rights movement change came eventually and it even got the civil rights act of 1968 signed by the president at the time Lyndon B. Johnson as a result of all of the work that MLK did. Im sure he was tired but he never gave up for his cause. The sacrifice and suffering was all of the people who should have their natural rights taken away from them as a result of racism and the treating of african americans at the time. MLK led a peaceful protest through the people who agreed with his ideas and that is the best way to get your ideas known which is why his movement was so successful.

He boycotted and marched. He was arrested for his peaceful acts, but he knew the majority was wrong. Most people if the go to jail for something like that they lose hope but not Martin Luther King Jr he knew right from wrong and as soon as he got out. Nothing deterred him from doing the right thing and following his gut decision. Now he's is one of the most famous leaders to help end segregation and won't ever be forgotten.

Muhammed, Samuel Feb 1,2018 MLK was a African minister to stop the white people from thinking that they are the best but we are all equal and have the same things that you have. His life: MLK was born at the Atlanta Georgia hospital in Jan 15,1929.When he was born he was with his maternal grandparents in a large house on Auburn Avenue in Atlanta. He was the second of the three childs and was named after his father. Then as he grew up he went to a school called Howard Elementary school for sixteen years. Then at the age of fifteen he to Morehouse college for four years and graduated college at the age of nineteen and finished in the year of 1948.

His skin color played a large role in how he was treated. Some places did not respect because he was a black man. But even with all these challenges, he was able to spread the word that slavery was wrong. He delivered many speeches about civil rights, including one at a women's rights convention in New York. As time went by, he joined in on the political scene.

MLK (or Martin Luther King Jr.) was an african american who wanted the rights for the colored people and his family. Basically it took years of strikes and boycotts and pretty much got what he wanted until his death of an assassin. Today i’ll be talking about MLK Jr’s life story. It all started in Atlanta, Georgia in January 15,1929 where he was born. Now during this time segregation was still in effect and he was raised by Martin Luther King Sr.

There are many issues or problems exist in America. There are also many people who became the faces of the revolutions. These people became the leader of many movements and their words became the guide of the Americans. Some of these people even sacrificed their lives in order to bring a change in the imperfect system of America. Serving people and acting on behalf of others is something noteworthy, and this is what these people did.

A Letter From Birmingham Jail Martin Luther King Jr. is a name that will never be forgotten, and that will go down in the books for all of time. He was foremost a civil rights activist throughout the 1950s and 1960s. during his lifetime, which lasted from January of 1929 to April of 1968, Martin Luther King Jr. was an American Baptist minister and a social activist and was known for his non- violent protests. He believed that all people, no matter the color, have a moral responsibility to break unjust laws and to take a direct action rather than waiting forever for justice to come through and finally be resolved. In the Spring of 1963, Martin Luther King Jr. stated in a speech that Birmingham was among one of the most segregated cities in the world.

Martin Luther King Jr. had a big impact on us during the 1950s and 1960s. He spoke out against racial discrimination and delivered the “I Have a Dream…” speech to end, or at least try, to put a stop to segregation. Though he never got to fulfill his “dream” of seeing our nation become free of racism (because he was shot on April 4, 1968), he does still have an impact on us today. Here’s why. Civil rights have impacted our nation in a tremendous way.

Martin Luther King Jr. was a leader in the African American civil rights movement during the 1950s and 1960s. He may not have explored a new territory or developed a new scientific law, but he did explore the ideas of equality between Whites and Blacks in America. Through inspiring speeches and nonviolent marches, he kick started desegregation between Whites and Blacks. His peaceful tactics set an example worldwide for nonviolent protests and improved conditions for people of colour in America. His moral explorations lead to more of the white population seeing African Americans as an equal, peaceful people rather than inferior ones.

He did not do it with violence but he did do it with peace. He inspired many other people to follow him and participate in peaceful protests. For example one the most well known protests was tons of people boycotting buses.
