Hello, and thank you for allowing me to speak to you today as an anti federalist. I will be speaking about why the constitution, in its current form, should not be ratified. Some people have the old fashioned belief that the post office should remain the way it is currently and not restructure. These people enjoy the traditional post office, where parcels and letters can be sent and received traditionally. But, the USPS system that they are using now is failing and that it is just going to get worse. The citizens of the United States of America needs to get a new system and restructure the USPS before it crashes and burns completely. Have you ever been in a restaurant and your parents tell you to be quiet because they didn’t want other people to hear you? This is part of the limited amount of free speech in America. I believe we are starting to not be able to speak what’s on our mind without people getting their feelings hurt. In my eyes people should get tougher. Why is America becoming this way?

If this question was raised twenty, even twenty-five years ago, the obvious answer would be no, as using the postal service was one of the best forms of communication. However, in this age surrounded by bigger and better forms of communication than the postal service, would we still need a rule like the postal rule? This brings several questions such as: would it be better if we didn’t have the postal rule? What would change if we rid of the postal rule? What wouldn’t change?

Society has become busier as it innovates and discovers new enterprises. As communication becomes more accessible and effortless due to the use of technology, less people are relying on the United States Postal Service. In the past, the postal service has been essential to providing a role in expanding and connecting the United States. Due to their importance in the past, the Postal Service should be kept because they could again, serve an important role in this growing world. To ensure their existence, we must renovate the USPS to fit with modern principles.
