Civil Rights Movement Martin Luther King Jr. was one of the most influential characters in American Black History; King had fought for the equality of citizens using during the Civil Right Movement of 1950s-1960s. Martin Luther King Jr. (King), was inspired by Gandhi’s success with non-violent activism, in which had contributed to the success of the Civil Rights Movement.
