While spending a lazy afternoon at home, reading a fiction thriller novel in my bedroom, and listening to Mozart, I can’t help but notice how everything feels different. It must be the oddity of having the luxury of time without worrying about any academic matter, but I know there’s something deeper than that.
I was away for only a year and a half except for holiday breaks and the short weekend trips I make when I have time. College is tough to deal with especially when away from home. UP makes it too difficult to beat. Now that I spend most of the year in the university, I try not to dwell so much in the comfort of being home, as the university life taught me that it’s difficult to build a permanent home in a temporary place. Learning this in college is not at all odd, as most of the experience I make in the university is fleeting. In college, it is always either a choice of treasuring every moment or a play safe by not trying to get a chance at something that could last.

I have always thought that significant change is a long process. However, five months in college changed me more than ten years in elementary and high school ever did. Because everyday in the university, I live a routine, which requires me to be independent from my parents, responsible for my own needs, wise in making decisions, and careful in trusting people. I have truly seen myself grow within my first three semesters in the university and it manifests so much in my attitude and outlook in life today. University life makes me know myself better. It makes me see the complexity of the society that I am in and convinces me to become a bigger part of it. It teaches me when to stand up or when to walk out. “People who argue that college is worth it contend that college graduates have a higher employment rates, bigger salaries, and more work benefits than high school graduates” (Is college education worth it?) That quote shows that if going to college, after college the experience will be great because so many opportunities open up afterwards. The after experience of college is a better life than just having a high school education.. “They say college graduates also have better interpersonal skills, live longer, have healthier children, and have proven their ability to achieve a major milestone.
In addition college can help you get through life and give you the strength to go through any obstacle life throws at you. There may be many job opportunities. But it will only be worth it if you get a profession like a doctorate degree or engineering. Many other professions will make you in debt for almost your whole life.
Wrestling vs Not Wrestling (In College) The opportunities are plentiful and the rewards are generous. College, it’s a time for young adults to go off and try new things, grow as their own selves and pave their own path. There are an abundance of people who go off to college and participate in athletics, for myself this is an option. Wrestling is my sport, it’s all I know besides cattle, and it’s playing a major role in an extremely important life choice.

College can be very beneficial, emotionally and financially, because it can help you reach the dream job you are aiming to obtain. For example, college is favorable because you could gain a higher-paying job, such as being a doctor or lawyer. Going to college means having better career stability and job security, like having a steady job that is stable for your own family and yourself to be comfortable. A college education is extremely valuable because you can gain more money to support your family and yourself, such as a job with higher salaries.
You need to grow as a person. Living the college life will be a nice change of pace. I will learn how to sustain myself and how live every day as an “adult.” It will test me like I’ve never been tested before, but I’m keen to the challenge. I can already see myself experiencing this once in a lifetime experience and going to classes to learn from these great minds.
College is the key to my life. It’s where I can discover more about who I am and my place in this world. College is a place where I can spread my wings and shine. The topic this week of whether or not college is really worth spending thousands of dollars each year and paying of student loans for several years once you graduate is a very interesting topic to say the least. This is due to the fact that people attending college are primarily there to get a good education and potentially get a job that pays well so they can be financially stable and one day support a family. This is an ideal scenario, we need to take into consideration that everyone who goes to college doesn’t always land a fabulous job as a lawyer, a doctor, or a CEO of a company. Now on the other hand not all people who don’t go to college work at fast food restaurants or at Walmart, many in fact are very successful and productive members of society. Take Bill Gates for example, he is a Harvard University drop out, but he is also one of the founders of the computer program Microsoft and is worth about 79.2 billion dollars.
As long as I can remember, I knew that college was going to be part of my future. That is because I always knew what my family expected out of me. College is not only important to me for the reason of making my parents proud, but for making sure that I create more out of myself, as well. With a higher education, I will have more job opportunities available, potentially be able to earn higher income, and obtain more useful life skills than somebody who does not have a college education. To begin, having a college education under my belt is important to me because I will have more opportunities for a job, after I complete my four years.
For many people, college is an important key for their future. Some people go to college for the job opportunities and the new windows it can open. Others go just for the education and experience. A good education is beneficial from many different viewpoints; in truth, it is a possibility that one's adult life could be much harder than people care to think. College Isn 't The Only Answer If anyone has ever went to high school, then they have heard about college. Everyone has a different point of view on the idea of college. Part of it depends on how someone was raised.
Most community college students have a life outside their school life. Some may have more priorities than others, but they still have to pay for things, manage time, and most work at least a minimum of ten hours . There are many students that don 't return for the second year at a community college for many reasons, but the main reason is that many community college students have experienced debt. Which leads to why many first time Community College students don 't return for the second year due to money issues. First, many community college students have to work several hours while going to school.
The first half of this semester was swift and I can’t believe how fast it passed by. College is a whole new world for me that I had never imagined with a lot of new experiences that I hope will shift me into a better and smarter person. There are more things I can do in college that I would have never dared to do in high school and I am happy for these new freedoms. I am able to eat in class, leave class without asking and they don’t care if I pay attention or not. My high school teachers would always tell me to wait for the bell, sometimes would not let me leave and if I did not pay attention they would yell.

This includes helping you get accustomed to the workload you will have in the career because sometimes you will have to stay up late to finish work and study. College will also give you exposure to special and expensive labs and technologies. It also gives you the basic information you need to know and understand. Without a higher education, I would not have those same resources.
