Oprah; Most influential woman in history
“When you undervalue what you do, the world will undervalue who you are” (Oprah). Oprah Winfrey is a talk show host, actress, producer, and philanthropist. She is mostly known for “The Oprah Winfrey Show.” Oprah has many accomplishments and was very well known, but her fame and influence did not come without a challenge. Oprah is one of the most influential women in the world, and she has been able to reach people from multiple places and help them.

One is that she had a talk show called “The Oprah Winfrey Show”. The show ran for 25 seasons and was a huge success. It was reported that the show averages an estimated 7, 14, and 15–20 million viewers a day in the United States (PebbleGo). She was in the movie “The Color Purple.” This movie was directed by Steven Spielberg. She has also formed a tv company called Harpo productions. To add on, she has opened a $40,000,000 school for disadvantaged girls in South Africa. As you can see, Oprah has done amazing things!
It has been made apparent, Oprah Winfrey has done very great things. Even though she didn’t have the best childhood she didn't let that affect her. She also at a very young age worked as a local speaker and she worked for radio shows. Oprah has also said she credits her success to her upbringing and her resilience.
Oprah has inspired me in multiple ways. She has built schools for disadvantaged kids, she is a TV host, and she owns her own TV production. One of the most important things I've learned about Oprah was how she was raised. Even through all the struggles she still pushed through and became the first black woman to be a billionaire. This was a “black” college in Nashville, Tennessee, on " Equality and discrimination” Another time she made a big impact on others was when she refused to perform. This was because the audience was divided by discrimination. She turned down the offer even though she was offered over $10,000 by a Miami club. After fighting for what she wanted the club eventually met her demands and let all audiences.
Althea Gibson was a successful tennis player however it didn't just come out of nowhere however it took a lot of time to get into the eyes of the public. A lot like Althea, Barbara Jordan was a successful politician becoming one of the first African American woman to do lots of stuff for example giving the keynote address in the democratic national invention and was able to break many records it took many tries and a lot of work and constant determination to reach their goals and get to where they wanted to go. Althea Gibson was able to achieve her level by constantly working for it and although she did fail multiple times, she continued to play tennis and became well known and achieved a lot in her career, winning medals and awards in her area. In the article Althea Gibson by Youssef Ibrahim it stated "In all, Gibson powered her way to 56 singles and doubles championships before turning pro in 1959. " A lot like Gibson and Barbara Jordan, Michelle Obama was also determined to make her way to make Obama president and did everything in her power to do it becoming the first African American woman to be first lady and also made America much better than it was
That dream kept her focused on training and helped her be successful with that dream. Although the main reason she’s regarded as such an important role model in pop culture is because she’s indigenous. Everything she has done is incredible but doing it as an indigenous woman just makes it more outstanding to young Australians. Most children these days have grown up learning about equality, human rights and discrimination.
Susan B Anthony a woman worthy of praise How did we get to where we are? What makes today so different from yesterday? The people from our past have changed our future. Without Susan B Anthony women today might not be able to vote, because of Susan we all have different views on women, but she has impacted us all not just women. She shows us that one person can change the world.

On one of her talk shows she gave away a bunch of cars. In the famous scene she gave away cars to her audience in one of her talk shows which is nearly 300 total cars giving away to the audience. Oprah Winfrey has many famous shows like has featured many popular shows, such as Super Soul Sunday, Greenleaf, and Queen Sugar.

Her high levels of openness to experience, social motivations, and agreeableness led her to form fruitful connections wherever she went. These connections to not only friends but also knowledgeable peers and mentors helped her develop a high amount of achievement motivation. She knew how smart she was and always strived for accomplishments in her field. Without these traits, she would have never had the strength to take her challenges and turn them into opportunities. This also connects to the way she maximizes and satisfies her work and life.

Rosa parks follows another woman, Claudette Colvin. Claudette did do exactly the same thing as Rosa, but she was pregnant at the time so the NAACP though she didn’t have the ability to stand up on her own. Colvin, Parks, Lafayette, Emeagwali, Fuller, Malcolm X, and Bridges are just a couple of the great african-american heroes. Rosa Parks is a influence on all people. She shows everyone that if they stand up in what the believe in they can do all things, even if there are consequences.
Oprah Winfrey, for one, grew up in an abusive household where male relatives of hers would repeatedly molest her, which took an emotional toll on Oprah. She was an unsettled teenager who appeared to have no future ahead of her, considering the cruelty and harm she had undergone. After Oprah moved to Nashville to live with her father, where she could have easily been absorbed in the same life style she perused in New York, constantly surrounding herself with promiscuous behavior. Instead, she cleaned up her act and won the Miss Black Tennessee beauty pageant, got an on-air job at WVOL, and also won a full scholarship to Tennessee State University. From there she continued her career as a radio newscaster, and eventually had her own radio show.
