Pasadena City College Student Analysis

My time at Ashford University was well spent, it was strong and long however merited. I testify that my major of Liberal Arts was the best alternative for me. How you would enhance the Liberal Arts major. That is 100 dollar question, enhancing the Liberal Arts experience. I have discovered that while assisting you with using your basic learning and basic considering, you learn to think with a critical mindset.

Each semester new students come into Blue Ridge Community College to expand their horizons. They take classes, so they will be able to graduate with an Associate’s Degree. One reason people attend Blue Ridge Community College is because they did not do well in high school and hope by attending a community college, they will have a smoother transition to a university, save money and the flexibility of class schedules. Before entering college classes, students take a placement test to determine if they are ready for college classes. Community colleges offer developmental classes in English and Math for students that did not do well on these subjects on the placement test.

It would be remiss of me to try and write about the adversities I have faced as a high school student attending Blythewood High School, without first reflecting on the many blessings I have been awarded. I attend a wonderful school with some of the best teachers in South Carolina who provide quality education and the tools that I must use to succeed in any field of life. I was also fortunate enough to grow up in a nuclear household with two educated parents who were able to help me with anything that I lacked in, whether that may be hiring a tutor for me or sitting at the kitchen table late at night to help me finish my homework. The adversities that I have faced are miniscule in comparison to some of the students that I sit right next to in class, but I have had my share of difficulties too. I remember starting my freshman year at Blythewood High School thinking about all the changes that I would have to face, transitioning from Kelly Mill Middle School to this large campus in this little town of Blythewood.

Brenau University is a well-known school for its academics and sports. The all-girl university has many sports like soccer, volleyball, cheerleading, and swimming and cross country. The standards to play in this particular private school are high and the coaches have high expectations. I ran in cross country, but I didn’t qualify for full tuition scholarship in college. I have many classmates that played a sport in high school and didn’t get a scholarship.

Through Honors Society, I have gotten to take on many leadership roles, including preparing and leading meetings, and developing our monthly schoolwide outreach to the school. By becoming president of the Honors Society for both my junior and senior year, I took those leadership

The Morehead Honors Program opens many doors for the receivers. Several magnificent programs and internships are offered to students that are part of this wonderful program; these include an internship in Frankfort, an intensive summer research program for students interested in medicine or dentistry, a commitment to host a show on the campus television station for a year, and a year-long volunteering experience working with children in after-school programs. Honestly, the volunteering experience in after-school programs for children interests me enormously. Along with building onto my existing skills, I will develop new skills, grow as a person due to the experience, and face my fears and anxieties. I believe I would thoroughly enjoy that

I have learned if there is an opportunity for a greater contribution in life, go for it. I am interested in pursuing a place in English 1102 due to my work ethics and my interests in analytical and argumentative writing. In my past three years of high school, I would only take the high level classes in order to challenge myself, but I never knew the true meaning of being in an honors class until I started attending East Mountain. My incentive to be in multiple honor classes started my freshman year. When I started attending East Mountain I experienced an immense amount of reading assignments compared to a regular class, but it didn’t stop me from doing my best.

By participating in Emporia’s Honors College I hope to further enrich my education by challenging myself and my abilities. I want to open myself up to the new opportunities the honors college will be able to provide to me like the leadership trainings. The honors college will better prepare me for my desired future as an elementary school teacher by making me a better leader and more open to new and harder experiences still yet to come. I am a hardworking and dedicated student who is determined to make the most and get the most out of my college experience. This program will push me to work even harder in all of my classes because more will be expected out of me.

As a first generation college student I believe that it is important to help our youth to become more successful individuals. As a college counselor I would be able to build healthy relationships with the students to ensure that that are becoming college ready and are being assisted in every way so that they can continue their education. As a high school student I did not have the resources to effectively help me get into college, but once I was accepted I wanted to make sure that I always helped out as many people as I could. I have helped plenty of high school students with not just finding any school that will accept them, but also finding a school that will fit them. In some cases I have even helped a couple students obtain scholarships

During this semester at Central Michigan University, I can defiantly say that this semester has probably been my best semester here at CMU. Also the reason why I said this is because of my academics, my social life, and connection I had made during this semester. My first year was a struggle for me, not taking the initiative to seek help or go to SI session. While evaluating, over the summer, I knew I must work hard in order to stay at Central Michigan University and also to graduate on time. This semester, I feel like I am ending on the right note.

I enjoy being challenged and no matter how hard it is, I am always up for it. I love to dig deeper and expand my knowledge when learning to get a broader understanding of topics. The Honors Program will allow me to do that through its small class discussions. Secondly, I am very focused and take academics seriously. This program will surround me

The Honors College’s expectations

In life, you can go through a lot but only a few people actually can bounce back. In High School I’ve gone through many trials and tribulations to get to the point I’m at now. I’ve been held to high standards based on the classes I’ve taken. My Honors classes built the foundation for me to start challenging myself and kill the procrastination problem I possessed in my young academic career. The Honors classes prepared me for the Advanced Placement classes that were offered.

This could be relatable to all the things that are emphasized by the Honors College. The emphasis on being creative is something that I find extremely important. Being creative is something that will help to assist you in many career paths. Most importantly my goal of majoring in Psychology and minoring in Sociology. Creativity will help me to assess various scenarios and devise plans to help others going through difficult situations.

ON NON-COMMUTER STUDENTS According to Perez (2014), whether you are a member of the faculty or administrative staff at your institute of higher education, students matter the most. What students learn about academic knowledge inside the classroom do not stop in that but also what they are experiencing while joining the institution matters the most. It is what determines retention rates, alumni giving, career paths, and sums up the satisfaction of a student.
