Thus, complex machines which accomplish simple tasks are called Rube Goldberg machines. Due to Mr. Goldberg’s cartoon and engineering background, Rube Goldberg machines allowed him to create devices that captured the attention of viewers and exercise his physics knowledge.

In high school, I was a member of the STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) magnet program. I completed the Project Lead the Way (PLTW) pathway and took a wide variety of engineering classes. I also got experience job shadowing’s and explore different activities that prepared me for my future career with activities such as mock interviews and resume writing. During my junior summer in high school, I got the opportunity to intern at a small engineering firm (Infrared Tools LLC) and work side by side with the engineers there getting hands on experience. This past semester I’ve been a student at Virginia Tech as a member of the Corps of Cadets and enrolled in Air Force ROTC.

I want to be admitted into UW Oshkosh to help me have a better education and brighter future. My high school diploma is the foundation of my education but my college education will be the main structure for my future. UW Oshkosh will provide me with more than just a degree, it will provide me with an experience that I don’t think I can find in any other college. I know UW Oshkosh is the right college for me. This year i’m entering the TSA competition hoping to win district and maybe even be a state champion.
